The system asked, "What did he say?"

It couldn’t believe it: "Did he say he wants you to live with him?"

Then it was ecstatic: "Ahhh, agree to it!"

Xing Shi sincerely asked, "Don't you think there's a problem with that?"

The system replied, "What problem could there be? He cares about you!"

Xing Shi thought that was fine and ignored it.

He looked at Fu Xiuning, who still wore that refined expression, as if discussing something perfectly ordinary.

He politely asked, "Wouldn’t that be too much trouble for you?"

Fu Xiuning’s lips curved slightly.

He had known that Xing Shi wouldn’t miss this opportunity; after all, the host wouldn’t easily reveal their identity or form alliances, and being close to him would make it easier to identify those other hosts.

He said, "Not at all. If we have morning classes, we can walk together."

Xing Shi said, "Alright."

Though unclear about Fu Xiuning’s intentions, this was more beneficial than harmful. He could move in and gradually find answers.

He said, "After we watch the movie tomorrow, I’ll move in."

Fu Xiuning nodded gently.

To quickly raise his presence before Director He, he also got tickets for the roadshow, so they coincidentally went together.

Qi Changyi looked at Fu Xiuning.

They had known each other since childhood and had always been close, but after Qi entered the entertainment industry, they met less often. When they reconnected, Fu Xiuning had changed—still outstanding, gentle, and polite, but with a colder core.

So he knew Fu Xiuning was definitely not someone who liked living with others. Why the sudden invitation?

Director He had no objections.

His son agreeing meant their relationship was probably good.

It was just worrying how indifferent he had become.

The meal ended quickly.

Director He and the others booked a hotel and left in the chauffeured car.

Xing Shi returned to the company for training, still riding in Fu Xiuning’s car. As another company owner, Qi Changyi decided to visit and followed them into the car.

Sitting in the back, he looked at those in front and tried to start a conversation: "Why did Suisui want to become a trainee?"

Xing Shi said, "Dream."

Qi Changyi asked, "An idol? Is there anyone in the industry you admire?"

Xing Shi said, "No."

He recalled something: "My roommate is your fan—the one who was behind me in that editing clip, named Yu Yi."

Qi Changyi laughed, "Noted."

He asked, "What does he like? I’ll see if I can find any related merchandise."

Xing Shi said, "Fandom and novels."

The novel he once used to trick Lin Kecheng was something he happened to see from Yu Yi and then had the system search for. He said, "You can give him something. Even a random autograph would make him happy."

After a while, the car arrived at the company.

Fu Xiuning had no intention of overtime and parked by the roadside.

Xing Shi and Qi Changyi entered the building together; Xing Shi went straight to the practice room, while Qi Changyi returned to the office and called Fu Xiuning’s number.

The call connected quickly, and Qi Changyi got straight to the point: "Why?"

Fu Xiuning answered, "To repay a life debt."

Qi Changyi was surprised: "...Hmm?"

Fu Xiuning explained, "He saved me not long ago."

Qi Changyi snapped back to reality: "You’d live with someone just because they saved your life? You had a car accident before, and someone saved you then too. Why didn’t you live with that person?"

Fu Xiuning calmly replied, "I haven’t found that person yet. When I do, I will repay them."

Qi Changyi didn’t believe it.

Not that he doubted the repayment, but he distrusted that reason for living together.

But judging by Fu Xiuning’s attitude, he wasn’t going to get the truth.

He ended the call, looked around the area, and went to the training department when the time was right.

The training department was busy even at this hour.

The teachers in the office were surprised to see him so late, especially coming to their department.

Qi Changyi smiled politely and inquired about Xing Shi’s progress.

The teachers, curious but objective, gave a detailed account and asked, "Is there... any plan?"

Qi Changyi thought, I can’t plan for him, and said, "No, it’s up to him."

He sat in the office for a while before his assistant arrived.

The chauffeured car was his personal vehicle; after dropping off Director He and the others, he had bought some low-calorie snacks and just brought them up.

In the middle of their class, a commotion outside announced Qi Changyi’s visit and the snacks he brought.

Everyone got excited and, seeing the teachers’ consent, hurried out.

Qi Changyi smiled, made the rounds, offered a few words of encouragement, and left.

The trainees remained exhilarated, eagerly eating snacks and dreaming.

Xing Shi received a message from Qi Changyi.

[I’m in the office. Should I give the merchandise to him, or bring him upstairs?]

He thought, reliable.

Uncertain of Qi’s closeness to Yu Yi, he let him decide.

This high-profile visit made a private fan meeting a "bonus," not seeming out of place. Since everyone was eating, stepping out briefly wouldn’t attract attention.

He turned off his phone and left the practice room with Yu Yi.

Yu Yi followed him to the elevator and asked, "Where are we going?"

Xing Shi said, "I heard from the boss today that Qi Changyi was coming to see us. I mentioned you’re his fan, so he got you a chance to meet your idol."

Yu Yi was stunned: "Ah?"

Xing Shi asked, "You want to go?"

Yu Yi eagerly agreed, thanking him and envying, "Your boss treats you so well. You must have asked for it, so he helped."

Xing Shi claimed, "Yes."

Yu Yi couldn’t help but gossip, "So... what’s your relationship?"

Xing Shi said, "Good friends."

Yu Yi looked at him and envied again, "That’s great."

They arrived at Qi Changyi’s office. The fan successfully took a photo with the idol, happily received autographs and merchandise.

They put everything in the locker in the changing room and returned to training.

The roadshow was on Saturday afternoon.

Xing Shi didn’t ask Director He for extra tickets, only his own.

At that time, he wasn’t sure if he was the original owner and only planned to attend to meet people, not wanting to owe favors.

Fu Xiuning got his tickets through Qi Changyi.

Knowing Xing Shi would come, he joined him at the cinema.

Their seats weren’t next to each other, but since the tickets were arranged by acquaintances, both had good viewing spots.

The theater was still bright before the showtime.

The roadshow was a star meet-and-greet, expensive tickets, and possibly other stars invited, so ticket holders looked around eagerly, hoping for surprises.

When two handsome young men entered, they immediately attracted attention. Many gasped, guessing they were celebrities and trying to figure out their names.

Lin Kecheng heard the noise.

But before that, he already knew through the system it was Fu Xiuning, and hadn’t expected Xing Shi to be there too.

The system said, "Maybe forget it this time. The time is too short; it’s hard to approach. His company is here, so he’ll come back; there will be plenty of opportunities later."

They knew Qi Changyi’s address, but after returning last night, he hadn’t gone out until the roadshow when he left by car.

Originally, they had bought expensive tickets hoping to edit a sharp review during the movie to impress Qi Changyi, but now with Fu Xiuning and Xing Shi there, even with a mask, he could be recognized.

The former was smart and could see through his scheme. The latter was naive and might slip up in front of Qi Changyi. Once Qi knew he wanted to enter June Culture, everything he did would be seen as scheming.

The system said, "Don’t raise your hand during the Q&A."

Lin Kecheng ignored that and said, "You should ask Xing Shi for favor points. I still think Fu Xiuning treats him too well."

Page 3/3

They had renewed their alliance a few days ago without requesting favor points, but Fu Xiuning was always with Xing Shi. He wanted to observe further.

The system was suspicious and asked for points.

Xing Shi received the message.

The system, holding a -5, nervously asked, "What now?"

Xing Shi said, "Give them to him."

The system asked, "What if they ask why?"

Xing Shi said, "Say I don’t sing off-key anymore."

System: "?"

At this point, delaying only raised suspicion.

It nervously sent the points over.

Lin Kecheng, with a sinking feeling, opened it and saw the number.

The system gasped, "-5! Just a short time ago, and he already got +3 points!"

Lin Kecheng asked: [How did he get the points?]

The reply: [Because he doesn’t sing off-key anymore~]

The system was stunned, "That... could be possible? Not singing off-key means he’s still useful, so back to the initial value?"

A cold shadow passed through Lin Kecheng’s eyes.

A series of failures, combined with this tie at -5, completely shattered his last bit of composure.

He wasn’t one to play by the rules.

He said, "I’ll get Xing Shi admitted to the hospital."

The system was shocked, "What?"

It quickly recovered, "You have an alliance—you can’t break the contract."

Lin Kecheng sneered, "Isn’t it almost expired?"

The system asked, "Why?"

Lin Kecheng said, "If I send him to the hospital and Fu Xiuning doesn’t react, that means it’s the initial value. If Fu Xiuning reacts, it means he really values Xing Shi, so why look elsewhere? I don’t even need to mingle in the entertainment world. Isn’t this fool more useful than Qi Changyi?"

The system suddenly thought that made sense: "But... you can’t let Xing Shi find out it was you."

Lin Kecheng said, "Of course."

The theater lights dimmed.

Fu Xiuning squinted slightly as he watched the screen ahead.

The roadshow was a great success, with thunderous applause and lively discussion.

The main creative team hadn’t fully arrived yesterday; some were on today’s flight. Director He wanted to introduce his son, but Xing Shi had more important matters.

He got into Fu Xiuning’s car and headed to school, quickly tidied his desk, then went to the apartment to pick up some clothes before moving into the new place.

Fu Xiuning’s residence was a large flat. Near the entrance, besides the nanny’s room, there was a sunny guest room with a private bathroom, separated from the master bedroom by a spacious living room.

As Fu Xiuning said, they could live without disturbing each other.

Xing Shi looked around the place, pleased. He took out his phone and said, "Boss, to thank you for letting me stay, I’ll treat you to dinner. Let’s order takeout and not go out."

Fu Xiuning said, "There’s a cook."

Xing Shi said, "Sometimes takeout is nice."

Fu Xiuning looked at him, "Per person budget?"

Now that he had a salary, Xing Shi handed him the phone: "You order."

Fu Xiuning found a clean, hygienic restaurant and chose dishes he liked.

Xing Shi added more items, updated the address, and placed the order.

When the delivery arrived, Fu Xiuning noticed several bottles of alcohol inside.

Sure enough, once the food was on the table, someone opened two bottles of wine generously and placed one in front of him.

Xing Shi looked at him sincerely: "Boss, from today on, we’re under the same roof. Let’s have a drink!"
