Tomorrow at noon, the novel will be officially launched! My heartfelt thanks go to Editor-in-Chief Bei He, my editor Canaan, all the loyal readers who have accompanied me from my previous works, and the new readers who have started following me with this book. This book was first released on October 10th, and will go live tomorrow, November 10th—exactly one month. I have seen all your criticisms and support. Without deviating from the main storyline I envision, I will correct whatever can be improved, striving to satisfy everyone. Yet it’s impossible to please all, and there will always be some who dislike it—I hope for your understanding.

Recently, I saw a comment asking why I always write the same old path of endless fighting and killing, and why I can’t write a more subdued cultivation journey, one of cultivating through the years. I almost couldn’t hold back a laugh. Perhaps he doesn’t know that I’ve already written two such novels. Back then, readers said they were tired of that style and wanted something new. Now that I’ve changed, someone asks why I don’t write in the old way—it leaves me both amused and helpless.

This book will still hold to my core style: the protagonist will not act rashly without absolute confidence, nor will he provoke unrelated enemies or force open side quests. However, compared to my previous works, I want this story to feel warmer and more human. The protagonist will have his moments of youthful ambition as well.

Beyond the growth of the main character, this book will also focus on the development of his family. The younger generation of the Fang household will follow different paths of growth. However, as not much time has passed in the story, there hasn’t been much detail yet. In my view, a decade isn’t very significant for a family aspiring to immortality. It wouldn’t make sense for the family to advance at the same pace as the protagonist; even if I give supporting characters more chapters, they can’t forcibly keep up with the protagonist. That wouldn’t be reasonable.

Furthermore, as the title suggests, true immortality is achieved after ascension, but the protagonist will attain immortality while still in the mortal world. The human world will be vast and well-developed; the story will not rapidly skip through realms. Please rest assured!

Now, regarding the rules for additional chapters upon launch:

For every 500 monthly tickets, there will be one extra chapter—no upper limit.

For every new alliance leader, there will be one extra chapter.

It’s not that the threshold for bonus chapters is too high; in fact, it’s quite low. I simply can’t add too many chapters, nor would it be meaningful.

Bonus chapters will begin the day after the book goes live; tomorrow’s explosive updates do not count toward this.

1. Fewer than 3 chapters—short and feeble, as expected.
2. 3 to 5 chapters—a slight effort, enough to raise some eyebrows.
3. 5 to 7 chapters—impressive, this one seems a little different.
4. 7 to 10 chapters—terrifying, he’s awakened.
5. Imagine the rest yourselves.
