Chapter Six
Page 1/3
Jin Feng Shen felt a bit awkward inside. He looked up with concern and asked, "Are you still able to walk?"
Ye Qin was momentarily stunned, then realized the young man before him was genuinely worried.
He glanced back at the teammates behind him, some barely sitting upright and others even lying down while eating. Understanding dawned on him.
Apparently, Jin Feng Shen had pegged him as the "weakling."
"I'm still strong enough. I'll go with you to find some food."
Jin Feng Shen responded with a simple "Oh" and scrutinized Ye Qin's complexion closely.
He seemed about to speak but held back, then hesitated again, and in the end, said nothing.
Yet his doubtful gaze was unmistakably filled with disbelief.
On the screen, the young man who had just been walking swiftly had deliberately slowed his pace, seemingly accommodating the "dead weight" trailing beside him.
Viewers watching the live stream were amused by the brief exchange and loaded expressions between the two.
"I'm dying laughing. This must be the first time Ye Qin has heard someone doubt his stamina."
"When Ye Qin was filming 'Moment of Reckoning,' he did all the stunts himself—high difficulty moves demanding tremendous endurance. Even the stunt doubles in the industry say they can't compare. If every celebrity did that, stunt work would be out of a job. So how could he possibly have poor stamina?!"
"I heard a rumor that he spent some time in the military and was top-notch in physical ability there, but that's just gossip, not verified."
"That makes it even funnier! 'Are you still able to walk?' Sounds like something you'd say the day after a wild night: 'Baby, can you even get out of bed today?'"
"Lol, upstairs, you've probably scared all the bamboo shoots on the mountain away!"
"Actually, you can’t really blame Jin Feng Shen for doubting. Just look at those teammates who seem like they’d collapse just moving a bit… they’re the normal ones, right?"
"Isn’t He Erwang an idol? He usually looks full of energy after hours of singing and dancing on stage! How is he so useless now?"
"Yeah, Gu Shengsheng and Qi Xiu look physically weak, and Mo Fan… despite rumors of domestic violence, he doesn’t look strong either. But He Erwang supposedly once practiced nonstop for five days straight, only sleeping seven hours total during his trainee days. He should have great stamina, right?"
"No doubt about He Erwang’s skills. If interested, check out the stage compilations made by his fan club on C Station!"
"So, could it be that others aren’t weak, but Ye Qin and Jin Feng Shen are just too strong?"
*Silence...*
"Everyone knows Ye Qin has excellent physical fitness. Jin Feng Shen looks tall and slender, but he still has energy now? Could the production team be cheating?"
Sun Xinping saw the flood of speculation in the comments, now even accusing the production team of rigging.
...
Cheating for Jin Feng Shen?
"Old Qian, I want you to type big bold letters on the screen: Our 'Being Human' production team is completely fair and impartial!"
Their only unfairness was the character portrayals, but those were openly known and visible from the start.
Old Qian, head of publicity, upon hearing Sun Xinping’s order, immediately activated admin rights, temporarily clearing the comments to forcibly "clean up" the narrative.
The viewers were speechless.
Showy.
Meanwhile, as the comment section buzzed, Jin Feng Shen and Ye Qin had already reached the seaside.
The vast sea stretched endlessly, beautiful yet likely as despairing as anything to those stranded on a deserted island.
Ye Qin furrowed his brows slightly, sensing the grimness of their situation.
Suddenly, he saw a figure step directly into the water.
!
"Jin Feng Shen, what are you doing?" he strode forward, trying to pull him back.
But... he couldn’t move him?!
Jin Feng Shen swayed slightly and sighed inwardly in relief.
He looked back in surprise. "You’re pretty strong."
Since he was entering the water with waves rolling and ripples spreading, it was easy to be knocked down by an incoming tide.

Maintaining balance was crucial.
So, when he stepped into the water, he employed a martial arts stance he had learned in the martial arts world called the “Old Tree Rooted Position.” Although he lacked inner strength now, combined with controlled breathing and muscle control, theoretically his lower body should have been as immovable as a tree.
Yet he had almost been pulled back by Ye Qin.
Unexpectedly, Ye Qin’s strength was greater than imagined.
Or was it that Jin Feng Shen was currently too weak?
But his compliment sounded to Ye Qin’s ears like a blatant insult.
Ye Qin lowered his head, staring blankly at his own palms, the stern expression cracking slightly.
Though he hadn’t used full strength just now, he couldn’t even pull one person, and he nearly lost his footing?
Just like Ms. Yun said—spending every day sitting in an office had already drained him?
Yet he worked out daily.
Jin Feng Shen noticed Ye Qin hadn’t pulled him away and seemed to be quietly sinking into sadness.
Feeling a little guilty, he turned his head and answered Ye Qin’s earlier question: "I’m planning to fish. You go sit on the shore and wait for me."
Ye Qin came back to his senses, his gaze fixed on the fishing tool Jin Feng Shen raised.
It was a bare tree branch, casually broken off from a trunk before Jin Feng Shen approached.
"Fishing with this?" he couldn’t help but ask.
Jin Feng Shen nodded. Seeing Ye Qin still standing there, staring intently at his “harpoon,” he wondered if Ye Qin wanted to join him.
But there was only one "harpoon," and breaking it in half would make it too short.
"You want to help me?" Ye Qin felt awkward.
As a childhood leader among neighborhood kids, Ye Qin had led groups fishing with various tools and knew well that fishing was no simple task.
How could a bare branch possibly succeed?
He looked at Jin Feng Shen’s eager expression, pondering how to persuade this “team leader” to give up fishing.
Maybe it was wiser to gather wild fruits in the woods now.
Jin Feng Shen sighed inwardly, noticing Ye Qin’s silence.
This admirer refused to eat anything, clung closely, and desperately wanted to help, but now he could do nothing and must feel awful.
"Ye Qin," he earnestly assigned a simple task that would give Ye Qin a sense of involvement, "you go sit by the shore. It might take a while. When I catch the fish, I’ll give them all to you. Can you hold them for me?"
"What?"
Jin Feng Shen said, "You help me, so I’ll give you half the fish I catch."
Ye Qin: "...Alright."
He looked at the shorter boy across from him, now tilting his head up with sincere eyes, and felt moved. He couldn’t bring himself to be harsh.
Though Jin Feng Shen’s fishing plan was somewhat unrealistic, the first thing he thought of was sharing half the catch.
This was a kind-hearted, very genuine, and responsible team organizer.
He decided to let the other play in the water and rest a bit before moving on.
Though Jin Feng Shen was the leader, he was still young and immature; a bit of confidence was understandable.
He would rest to conserve energy, and if they gathered wild fruits later in the forest, he could shake the trees or climb them.
So, Ye Qin really went back to the shore but didn’t sit down. He lazily crossed his arms, watching the young man in the shallow water, a faint smile in his eyes.
"I’m doomed, I totally fell for Jin Feng Shen’s act."
"What? Me fishing while you just sit and rest? You holding the fish is helping? And you’ll get half the fish later? When did Jin Feng Shen get so smooth with words?"
"The funny thing is Ye Qin actually agreed!"
Page 3/3
"Ye Qin probably agreed because he thought fishing with a branch was ridiculous… how could you catch fish like that?"
"Actually, I want to ask: when did Ye Qin get so weak? In the movies, he lifts a 200-pound guy single-handedly without breaking a sweat! Did Sun Dog give him a power-down character setting?"
Sun Xinping: "..."
Does he have to take the blame for everything?
He can help build a character, but that’s implanted in the guest’s mind; it can’t directly raise or lower their intelligence or physical fitness.
That’s nonsense.
This time, without any instruction from him, the publicity team leader had already typed large letters on the screen: [I dare not!]
"Pfft, fine."
But just seconds later, the screen flickered. Something floated up from the sea.
Three fish traced perfect parabolic arcs in the air, landing precisely at Ye Qin’s feet.
???
"Are my eyes playing tricks on me?"
"Is it just me seeing fish?"
"Upstairs... you’re not alone."
On screen, Ye Qin’s expression flickered with astonishment, his dark eyes widening.
"Ye Qin, the fish are yours to keep!" Jin Feng Shen’s voice drifted over the water.
As he spoke, more perfect arcs appeared in the air.
By Ye Qin’s feet lay seven fish, each clearly pierced through but still not quite dead, rolling their eyes and twitching occasionally.
Ye Qin slowly bent down and grabbed one wriggling fish trying to escape.
"What just happened (timidly asking)?"
"Does Jin Feng Shen have some fish-attracting magic? In less than a minute, he raised the branch and caught fish?"
"Wow, already ten fish."
"My dad’s been a fisherman all his life. I just showed him this, and he said: fake! Photoshopped! Don’t try to fool me with high-tech stuff!"
"He picked a thick branch carefully and made a move on my dad’s prized carp in the tank."
"So?"
"The tank shattered, the fish escaped, and now I’m trying to catch them."
"Pfft."
Jin Feng Shen’s flawlessly ridiculous fishing skills stunned everyone.
"Wait, Sun Dog really didn’t cheat for Jin Feng Shen?"
Sun Xinping stared at the screen, asking Little Li beside him, "Did we give him a boost?"
Little Li: "..."
"Is it possible Jin Feng Shen is just naturally good at fishing?"
Sun Xinping’s mouth twitched.
Good at fishing? That’s an understatement.
With his skills, staying at sea for a few days, he’d probably catch every fish in this sea.
Is he some kind of ‘Fish God’?
It’s more accurate to say the fish voluntarily offered themselves, bringing a meal to their Fish God.
