Chapter One: This System Is a Bit Useless

“Fang Yun, this is the third time I’m asking for a divorce. I’ve already given you my final terms. What more do you want?”
Fang Yun blinked in a daze and met a face she would recognize even if it turned to ash.
The lingering pain before death still haunted her limbs, causing a slight tremble.
Hatred slowly surged in her eyes as she stared at the face that was once intimately close but had since turned cold and repulsive. The overwhelming murderous intent made her wish she could stab him immediately.
But in the next moment, she heard his voice soften deliberately.
“I know you can’t let go of this relationship, but Fang Yun, I truly don’t love you anymore. If we keep going, the only one who will suffer is you.”
As her consciousness gradually cleared, Fang Yun sensed something was off.
She glanced around discreetly, and her heart suddenly jolted.
Then, as if recalling something, she looked down at the papers on the table, picked them up, and examined them.
The bold, large characters “Divorce Agreement” were printed at the top, followed by detailed property division.
This familiar scene was exactly where she had longed to return even in her dreams.
She bit her lower lip hard, the pain snapping her back to clarity and filling her with a strange joy.
However, her action was misunderstood by the man opposite her.
“Fang Yun, don’t be so stubborn—”
“I agree to the divorce.”
Before he could finish, she cut him off coldly.
Lu Yuanlin, sitting across from her, was taken aback, clearly not expecting her consent.
“But I have a few conditions.” Upon hearing this, a knowing expression crossed his face.
“Fang Yun, don’t be unreasonable.” He furrowed his brow as if bracing for her to make some outrageous demand.
Fang Yun only gave a cold smile before speaking:
“I want the house upstairs, and you can convert the rest of the assets into cash for me. Also, get someone to expedite this—I want the divorce certificate tomorrow. No cooling-off period. A month is enough time for me to change my mind.”
That last sentence darkened Lu Yuanlin’s face.
He gritted his teeth and agreed without doubting her conditions, thinking only of quickly using his connections to get the divorce certificate in hand.
After signing the divorce papers, Lu Yuanlin eagerly left the once sweet little home they had shared.
Fang Yun stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, watching the car fade away. Beneath her cold expression lay a raging hatred.
It was the same day last time Lu Yuanlin asked for a divorce for the third time, all for his white moonlight, Ji Qingwan. Unwilling to believe Lu Yuanlin would betray their love, she had refused.
Who would have thought the sudden apocalypse would make her situation even more unbearable.
Page 2/3
Chen Yuanlin, to ensure Ji Qingwan lived well, used her as a bargaining chip to trade for supplies, even going so far as to take a bullet meant for Ji Qingwan and dying with resentment.
Countless nights she regretted why she had stubbornly clung to that crooked tree—would she have died without a man?
Perhaps her hatred was so intense that even heaven couldn’t bear it, and she was reborn at this very moment.
This time, she was determined to make those two wretches pay, to kneel and beg her, so they would suffer the same pain she endured in her past life!
Early the next morning, Lu Yuanlin, sporting dark circles under his eyes, delivered the divorce certificate to her.
As she took it, a voice suddenly echoed in Fang Yun’s mind.
Her expression froze momentarily. Ignoring Lu Yuanlin’s boastful words, she turned and shut the door on him.
“What are you?” Fang Yun stepped into the bedroom briskly, her face cold as she spoke.
[Hello, host. I am Sign-in System 007.]
“A system?” Fang Yun was puzzled.
[Yes, I originate from the Main God World. While escorting the host into a small world, I was attacked and forced to drift to Blue Star. At that time, the host’s life was nearly extinguished, so I had no choice but to use time-space regression to bring the host back.]
“What’s your purpose?”
[The system is now bound to host Fang Yun and cannot unbind unilaterally. The host can receive lucky items daily through sign-ins but must pay the system’s reward: energy.]
“Energy?”
[According to system analysis, Blue Star is about to suffer a massive catastrophe caused by energy stones from the Main God World.]
What… what is all this?
Fang Yun was bewildered.
So the apocalypse she experienced last time wasn’t a mere natural disaster but triggered by an external force causing magnetic field disturbances?
“So you want me to find these energy stones for you?”
[Yes.]
“What if I don’t?”
[Blue Star will be destroyed in five years, with no signs of life remaining.]
Sure enough, there’s no such thing as a free lunch.
She thought she had struck lucky with a second chance at life, but this was the real reason behind it.
“Let me think about it.” Fang Yun sat down, rubbing her temples, trying to digest this sudden grim news.
[Please proceed with today’s sign-in.]
The system didn’t give Fang Yun time to process; it mechanically repeated the request in her mind.

Damn it!
Annoyed beyond measure, Fang Yun shook her head and shouted, “Sign in!”
[Sign-in successful! Congratulations, host, you have obtained the current space.]
Huh?
What?
A space?!
Fang Yun froze, then quickly recovered, just about to ask what this space was when everything went black. When she opened her eyes, she was still in the bedroom.
No, it was an empty villa!
Stepping out of the bedroom, she saw that the entire villa was empty, save for the basic furnishings—nothing else.
So this is the so-called space?
Not entirely unacceptable!
After all, she had been worrying about where to store supplies just last night.
“System, how do I get out?”
No sooner had she spoken than she was back in her real bedroom, still sitting on the chair.
[The space belongs to the host. Please explore on your own. The system cannot provide any assistance.]
Fang Yun: …
What to do? Suddenly, the system seemed a bit useless.
But since the first day’s sign-in already gave her something useful, she could reluctantly overlook its shortcomings.
With that thought, she immediately packed her belongings and threw everything into the space.
This villa was their marital home when she married Lu Yuanlin. Now that they were divorced and she wasn’t keeping the house, Ji Qingwan would surely come to disgust her once she found out.
Last time, when she refused the divorce, that wretch had already come to torment her once.
She didn’t want to see that wretch again—she feared she might lose control and stab her.
Though tempted, dying so easily was too cheap a fate for her.
