Unable to come up with a suitable plan, Li Wangcheng soon dismissed everyone.

Shang Xingbing left with his men, leaving only Fang Yun and Li Wangcheng in the tent.

“You were just trying to say that Macibo’s supplies are all hidden by the cliff, right?” With no one else around, Li Wangcheng spoke more casually.

He relaxed against the back of his chair, his gaze softening as he looked at Fang Yun.

“You already guessed it, didn’t you?” Fang Yun nodded.

“How do you plan to get the supplies out?”

Fang Yun didn’t answer directly but instead pondered for a moment before bringing up another matter to discuss.

“If we manage to take Macibo’s supplies, can we set aside a portion and hand it over to the military?”

Li Wangcheng was somewhat surprised by her request, studying her seriously.

He had never heard of any connection between Fang Yun and the military, so he didn’t understand why she suddenly made such a proposal.

His impression of the military was good, but now that military and government affairs were intertwined on Dongming Mountain, giving supplies to the military was essentially giving them to the government side as well.

Compared to the military’s strict discipline, the government side was...

This situation made Li Wangcheng reluctant to agree; after all, he didn’t want to benefit those cunning old foxes.

“Do you want to give it only to the military, or do you want to help those outside?” Li Wangcheng, aware of her intent, cautiously asked.

“Is there a difference?” Fang Yun was a bit puzzled.

Even if she gave the supplies to the military, stressing it was only for them, they would still distribute resources to the survivors outside.

No matter the time, soldiers of the Xia Nation always put the people first.

Li Wangcheng grew a little restless, his finger tapping unconsciously on the table.

Seeing his demeanor, Fang Yun thought he was unwilling and frowned slightly.

She wondered if the system could still log in more supplies.

So far, apart from the initial villa space, the protective shield, and the treehouse checked in this morning, the rest were various materials.

And quite a lot of them. Thanks to the system, she had managed to fill the villa space completely.

If it hadn’t been for the chance encounter with Li Wangcheng, the supplies in the space would have been enough for her and Feng Li to live a stable life for many years.

But plans can’t keep up with changes. Not only did she run into Li Wangcheng early, she also ended up on Dongming Mountain.

She couldn’t let go of the grudges from her past life.

It was one thing if she never met those enemies, but now that she had, she truly couldn’t suppress the desire for revenge.

“Have you thought about how to give the supplies to the military? A portion is not small, and if we take Macibo’s supplies away, when chaos breaks out, it won’t be easy to hand them over.”

Fang Yun was taken aback; she hadn’t expected him to be considering this.

But hearing him say it, she realized the problem as well.

The supplies were Macibo’s source of arrogance, so he would guard them fiercely. Even if she could carry everything off in an instant, he would soon discover they were gone.

Regardless of whether he suspected them, Macibo would stop at nothing to find the supplies and whoever stole them.

Their priority was to leave Dongming Mountain immediately; the longer they stayed, the harder it would be to escape.

So how to get the supplies to the military was a major issue.

Fang Yun was momentarily at a loss, and the matter was set aside.

The temperature kept dropping; without the sun, the sky was gloomy, and night fell rapidly.

Noticing the visibility worsening, Li Wangcheng glanced at his watch—it was just past four in the afternoon, but already quite dark.

They were in the southern region; even in winter, it shouldn’t get dark this early.

But thinking of the rare snowfall outside, he figured early darkness wasn’t so strange after all.

“It’s getting dark too early. Should we eat something now?” Fang Yun looked outside; the wind and snow seemed to have worsened.

“If we eat now, we might still be hungry later,” Li Wangcheng responded, sipping hot water.

He was actually a bit hungry too.

Most supplies were on the submarine; they hadn’t brought much up the mountain.

When ascending, everyone had to turn in part of their supplies as required, so now they had even less.

It was unclear how long they’d be on Dongming Mountain, so meals were kept simple—only enough for five people to last a week.

“Boss!” Just as Li Wangcheng finished speaking, a voice called out from outside the tent.

Shang Xingbing braved the wind and snow, entering the tent excitedly, holding something in his hand.

As he approached, Fang Yun saw he carried a rabbit—dead, frozen stiff.

“Look, I found a rabbit!” He stood by the table, proudly showing it off.

“Where did you get that rabbit?” Fang Yun asked, puzzled.

Up close, she saw it was a wild rabbit, brown-gray with patches of white—not a domestic one.

Wild rabbits on Dongming Mountain? Not dead from the quake or caught by survivors? That seemed impossible.

“I spotted it by chance. If I weren’t sharp-eyed, it would have gotten away,” Shang Xingbing grinned, a bit proud.

“Don’t tell me it was drugged,” Fang Yun began, then realized the absurdity of her thought.

Forget drugs—there was barely any food, who would bother drugging rabbits?

“We were just about to eat dinner; this is a bonus,” Li Wangcheng said, easing Fang Yun’s embarrassment.

“So... who’s going to cook it?” Shang Xingbing looked at them both, worried.

He wasn’t very good at cooking; whatever he made was barely edible. If he cooked this rabbit, the boss probably wouldn’t eat a single bite.

Better not waste the food; rabbit was hard to come by now.

“I’ll cook,” Fang Yun sighed quietly. The rabbit smelled a bit gamey; without seasoning, it wouldn’t taste good.

Luckily, she had secretly brought a backpack with spices; otherwise, she wouldn’t know how to season it.

Once Shang Xingbing cleaned and cut the rabbit into pieces per Fang Yun’s instructions and brought it into the tent, Fang Yun prepared several large basins of melted snow water.

She washed and soaked the rabbit meat to remove blood, then marinated it to eliminate the gamey flavor.

While marinating, she looked through their supplies and found some packets of noodles, which she boiled, then rinsed with cold water and set aside.

The rabbit was done marinating. Considering the small amount of meat, she originally planned to stir-fry it but decided to stew it instead.

She grabbed several cans of luncheon meat, cooking them with the rabbit. Once cooked, she’d add the noodles.

Soon, the tent was filled with a rich, savory aroma.

“This smells amazing. Those people outside have noses like dogs; some are already lurking around the tent, probably looking for meat.”
