Chapter 2: The Stabilizing Pillar
It turned out that Li Xueli was definitely not bitten by a mosquito! Rather, it was as if the White Bone Demon had encountered Sun Wukong. Laughing at the embroidery needle lodged in Sun Wukong’s ear, unaware that this needle was actually the Ruyi Jingu Bang—the magical staff that controls the seas.
The next morning, Li Xueli woke up, blushing, and spat out, “Beast!”
“Thanks for the compliment!” Chu Feng responded, quite pleased with her praise.
Around the one-and-a-half-meter wooden bed lay scattered clothes in disorder. The lingering scent of passion had yet to fully dissipate. Chu Feng looked at the video on his phone and, satisfied, lit a cigarette.
“Leaving so soon?” Chu Feng said, still savoring the moment.
Li Xueli rolled her eyes at him. “You cheapskate, not even willing to book a hotel, making me stay here…” She hesitated, then leaned against the wall.
“Want me to walk you out?”
“I’m taking a shower first!” Li Xueli snapped.
She hobbled toward the bathroom, but soon a scream came from within: “There’s no shower gel!”
“There’s soap,” Chu Feng replied, eyes still on the video.
“What about shampoo?”
“Soap!”
“You’re crazy!”
As the sound of water echoed from the bathroom, the smile on Chu Feng’s face faded. His stamina was unreal—after all, they had been at it all night!
“Could it be that secret Tantric Joy Meditation technique?” Chu Feng suddenly recalled that in his past life, he had protected an old lama from bullying. This lama had taught him a set of meditation exercises. After the lama was released from prison, he gave Chu Feng a special wooden pendant—a small hand carved from wood, making a gesture Chu Feng had never seen before.
Chu Feng searched around and found the pendant under his pillow. A chill ran down his spine. Could his reincarnation be linked to this trinket?
He knew little about that lama, only that he was quite the figure—so much so that wealthy socialite wives willingly offered incense money, and even indulged him willingly. Eventually, he was caught by the husband of one such woman and sent to prison, serving a full ten years for large-scale embezzlement.
At first, Chu Feng thought the lama was playing tricks on him, but it really worked. Without a strong body, how could he have survived over a decade in prison? The technique strengthened his body and enhanced all his abilities—including in the bedroom—allowing him to best Li Xueli.
As the saying goes: at thirty, a man is a wolf; at forty, a tiger; beyond fifty, he can suck the very earth. A beautiful woman like Li Xueli, just past thirty, was no match for a nineteen-year-old youth unless one had such a skill.
Just then, a loud, urgent knocking interrupted Chu Feng’s thoughts.
“Who is it?” he frowned.
“It’s me! Zhang Yanran! Chu Feng, open the door!” An angry female voice called out urgently.
Chu Feng’s expression darkened. The water in the bathroom stopped abruptly.
“What do we do?” Li Xueli rushed out, pale as death. She hadn’t expected Zhang Yanran to come by. If Zhang Yanran caught her here, and Zhang Fuqiang found out, her position would be in jeopardy.
Chu Feng eyed Zhang Yanran appreciatively. “Nice figure.”
“Are you crazy? If Zhang Fuqiang finds out about us, won’t he have you beaten to death?” Li Xueli panicked.
“Chu Feng! Open the door now, or I’ll never talk to you again!” Zhang Yanran shouted.
Chu Feng knew now was not the time to fall out with Zhang Yanran—his plan for revenge was just beginning. He quickly shoved Li Xueli under the covers, grabbed a hard steamed bun from the bedside, and threw it at the door lock.
Click! The door lock popped open.
Li Xueli curled up under the blanket, heart pounding, afraid of making a sound and being found. After all, Zhang Fuqiang was her long-term benefactor.
“Chu Feng!” Zhang Yanran stormed in, her face turning green with anger.
“Well, well! You promised to come over yesterday, but you’re just lazing around at home!” She grabbed the blanket, about to pull it back.
“Wait!” Chu Feng stopped her. “You’re only in your underwear. Are you sure you want to do that?”
“You… pervert!” Zhang Yanran’s cheeks flushed as she instinctively stepped back.
Chu Feng quietly tucked a pair of black stockings next to the pillow under the blanket.
Looking closely, Zhang Yanran was indeed one of the four campus beauties. She wore a blue floral skirt that fell past her knees, fluttering gently in the breeze. Tall and slender, she was about 1.65 meters.
Perhaps due to the heat, her face was tinged with a faint blush. Her straight nose, rosy small mouth, fair jawline, and the pair of phoenix eyes beneath thick lashes gave her a youthful purity unique to girls.
“How does she know where I live?” Chu Feng wondered. Then he recalled that during summer vacation, he worked at a phone shop under Zhang Yanran’s father’s name. It was more like being Zhang Yanran’s devoted servant.
Zhang Yanran sniffed, catching a familiar perfume—seemingly Li Xueli’s. But then she thought better of it. Her stepmother didn’t like Chu Feng, the poor kid; why would she come here?
“Chu Feng, let’s get straight to the point.” Zhang Yanran sat on an old chair, crossing her legs. Chu Feng glanced down, mentally admiring that today she wore white.
“I know your dad owes a lot of money. For the sake of our years as classmates, if you help me with something, I’ll give you three thousand yuan. How about that?”
Hearing this, Chu Feng thought of his parents—their pain was eternal. His father had been cheated in business years ago, plunging the family from comfortable to poor.
Now that he was back, his first step was to help his father repay the debts.
“Oh? What’s the matter? I don’t do anything illegal,” Chu Feng said.
Zhang Yanran put her hands on her hips. “It’s simple. That stinky slut Li Xueli came to my house just for my dad’s money! I want to kick her out!” She pulled out a wad of cash and a small vial from her bag.
“What’s this?” Chu Feng asked, picking up the vial.
“It’s concentrated vodka I bought from a friend. She often drinks at a bar called Eighty. You get her drunk, take some close-up photos!” Zhang Yanran said angrily.
Chu Feng was secretly impressed. This girl was nineteen too, yet so calculating!
Meanwhile, under the blanket, Li Xueli trembled with anger, hearing their entire conversation clearly. Wasn’t this the perfect chance to take revenge on the Zhang family?
She had been constantly trying to please this young lady at the Zhang household, only to find Zhang Yanran scheming against her. Her heart burned with indignation.
