“I think we could try looking at the Haven House again; maybe Xu Wang is still there, and we could ask the staff.”

At the dining table, Ben Parker shared his plan with Aunt May.

Just then, the door opened, and Peter returned.

Aunt May noticed him and asked with concern, “Peter, did you forget something?”

Peter shook his head and pointed outside the door. “I saw Xu Wang’s motorcycle parked out there. I think he’ll come over today, so you don’t need to go looking for him.”

Hearing this, Uncle Ben and Aunt May realized that the motorcycle was Xu Wang’s.

Indeed, there was no need to look for him after all.

With a city as vast as New York, finding one person is quite difficult.

Peter had come back just to say this, and after speaking, he left.

Knowing Xu Wang would return on his own eased a burden on Uncle Ben’s mind, and he looked noticeably more relaxed.

Unlike the younger generation,

Uncle Ben was now fully aware that he had acquired superpowers.

Yet his mindset remained calm and steady; he didn’t rush out to test his powers.

Life went on as usual.

He picked up a stack of newspapers delivered that day.

Sitting down on the sofa, Uncle Ben began to read—this was his daily routine.

“A parrot that spontaneously combusts under strong light? That’s quite interesting,” he murmured, noticing one article.

But the photo attached in the paper made Uncle Ben chuckle uncontrollably. “Isn’t that the Screaming Chicken? What’s happening to this world?”

He shook his head in disbelief.

Turning the page, he continued reading.

This time, it was the Horn Daily reporting on the United Corporation.

However, instead of covering the Screaming Chicken story, they reported on a massive riot at the bio-park yesterday.

For some unknown reason, the security guards clashed with the experimental animals inside the bio-park!

Not even the snails were spared.

By the time the CEO of United Corporation arrived, the scene was in utter chaos.

Reporters present documented the situation as it unfolded.

Uncle Ben had only intended to read the news for amusement.

Unexpectedly, one photo in the paper suddenly caught his attention.

It depicted a glass case containing dragonflies.

The image of those dragonflies instantly captivated Uncle Ben.

He sprang up from the sofa.

Under Aunt May’s surprised gaze, Uncle Ben grabbed the glass jar holding the mutated dragonfly corpses.

His eyes swept from side to side.

After comparing, Uncle Ben confirmed that these United Corporation dragonflies were exactly the same as the one that had bitten him!

“May, I’m going out for a bit. If that young man Xu Wang comes by, make sure to keep him here and call me,” Uncle Ben said decisively.

Speaking as he put on his coat, he headed toward the door.

He planned to visit the United Corporation’s bio-park to see what was going on.

“Alright,” Aunt May replied, unaware of his exact intentions but nodding in agreement.

---

The Parker uncle and nephew were off in different directions—one to the Osborn Group, the other to United Corporation.

Xu Wang, meanwhile, lay in the alley behind the junkyard’s back gate.

Each had a bright future ahead.

But Xu Wang’s mood was far from cheerful.

He had been peacefully sleeping when suddenly a group of thugs woke him.

He was certain they were indeed thugs—not the kind who idled about as a profession, and they wouldn’t usually bother a scavenger like him.

“Do you guys have guns?” Xu Wang stretched and stood up.

“Hahaha! Scared? Don’t worry, we won’t use guns—we’re just here to say hi,” a punk-styled blonde laughed, cheerfully pulling out a handgun and tapping it against Xu Wang’s face.

He had no intention of killing anyone, just wanted some fun.

Two others nearby seemed to be his henchmen.

Seeing the punk laugh, they joined in with hearty laughter.

Xu Wang, seeing their joy, smiled as well.

Then, he grabbed a brick and slammed it hard onto the punk’s head!

With a loud bang, the laughing punk instantly fell into a deep sleep like a baby.

He collapsed to the ground, motionless.

Xu Wang swiftly snatched the handgun that had dropped and spun around, aiming it at the other two thugs.

The situation reversed!

The two hadn’t even registered the change.

Seeing the barrel pointed at them, their smiles vanished, cold sweat beading on their foreheads.

They never imagined this would happen.

They had come just for some fun.

All the homeless people in the area they’d bullied were easy prey—no one fought back.

They thought they’d pick on some vulnerable Asians, but they’d hit a brick wall instead.

“Wait, wait! Brothers! We’re just saying hi, no harm meant!”

The two glanced nervously at the gun and at their unconscious leader at their feet, cursing their luck.

They felt they’d provoked a madman.

“I know, you’re all good people bringing me gifts,” Xu Wang grinned widely. “I’m a fair man—I always give gifts in return. Here’s mine for you.”

Hearing this, the two were utterly baffled.

Though the words sounded friendly, instinct told them something was wrong.

The next second,

Xu Wang shifted the gun and pulled the trigger!

Bang! Bang!

Without hesitation, two shots rang out, followed by the agonized screams of the two thugs.

---

One hour later,

Xu Wang was driving a Land Rover, accompanied by three new acquaintances, arriving at the punk’s home.

This was Long Island, far from the city center, known for its good security and beautiful environment—a wealthy district of New York.

It was also the punk’s home.

Xu Wang hadn’t expected this idler’s family to be fairly wealthy.

Though not among the richest,

Owning a mansion here definitely made them rich.

It seemed being a thug was just his hobby.

Without a word, Xu Wang tied up the three and threw them into a soundproof basement.

He also tossed down a medical first aid kit, some food, and water.

Ignoring the pleas of the two wounded thugs, Xu Wang smiled and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll be gone in a few days.”

With that, he decisively shut the basement door.

I'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
