Jiang Yang furrowed his brows. Such an ambiguous name and a vague friend request—it was obviously a scam. Either this person wanted to trick him into buying tea leaves or lure him into some shady business in northern Myanmar.

Though he had amnesia, he wasn’t a fool. With a cold sneer, he immediately rejected the request.

Unexpectedly, the other party sent another friend request right away: “Senior Brother, did I upset you by rejecting you last time?”

“Reject me?” Jiang Yang read the message again. “Wasn’t I about to confess that night before my accident?”

This message was different from the previous one; it contained substantive content and didn’t seem like a scam at all. Reluctantly, Jiang Yang accepted the request.

As soon as the request was accepted, three voice messages came through from a girl’s melodious voice, tinged with a bubbly tone:

“Senior Brother, you haven’t replied to me in twenty days. Why did you suddenly delete me?”

“I really didn’t mean it last time. Can you let me explain?”

“Senior Brother~ Senior Brother~ Say something…”

Jiang Yang frowned. He had no recollection of this junior sister, nor of anything between them, and didn’t remember deleting any contact.

But given his situation, anything forgotten was certainly related to some romantic entanglement.

He remembered everything else clearly—for instance, he even remembered what the company’s cleaning lady looked like, and that she had recently found a partner.

Inwardly cursing his pre-amnesia self as a scoundrel, he replied on WeChat, “Sorry, I had an accident and lost my memory. Can you tell me who you are first?”

After a moment of silence, the reply came: “I’m your junior sister, Xia Bingbing. We lived together for quite some time. How could you forget me?”

What the hell! Another one claiming to have lived with me?

When exactly did I ever live with this junior sister?

Jiang Yang’s head throbbed again, as if something deep within his memories was stirring.

He knew the agony of these headaches and quickly took a red pill from the drawer, swallowing it with water. The dull ache in his head eased somewhat.

Before he could reply, “Ice in the Summer” messaged, “Are you at the company? I’m coming to find you now.”

Jiang Yang hesitated briefly. As Yang Xiaoran had said, he needed to confront his past self to uncover the truth.

He typed back, “I’ll be downstairs at the office soon.”

“Wait for me twenty minutes, I’m on my way!” Xia Bingbing insisted, almost announcing her arrival at the battlefield.

Half an hour later, as Jiang Yang emerged from the office building amid the after-work crowd, a girl in a pale yellow dress came sprinting toward him.

Before he could get a clear look, she clung tightly to him, her lovely voice trembling with tears near his ear: “Senior Brother, where have you been all this time? You scared me to death.”

A delicate floral fragrance wafted around him, flooding his mind with a thick wave of pheromones.

It was rush hour, and colleagues nearby threw curious glances their way. Jiang Yang quickly eased her away gently and asked, “Wait, miss, you said we lived together?”

Only then did he see her clearly: fair-skinned, sporting a ponytail, her large, sparkling eyes glistening with two crystal tears at the corners.

Her collagen-rich cheeks bore two faint dimples, and her cherry-red lips, coated with glossy lipstick, invited a gentle taste.

Xia Bingbing’s hands still lingered on his neck, unwilling to let go. “Yes, though we lived together less than two years, how could you forget that?”

Jiang Yang nearly choked. “Less than two years living together? I’ve only been working a little over a year since graduation. So we started living together back in college?”

Pouting, Xia Bingbing said, “No, just about two months.”

Jiang Yang’s lips twitched. “Two months and you say less than two years? That’s quite a difference. Did you find living together unbearably long?”

Playfully, Xia Bingbing stuck her tongue out. “Senior Brother, you’re mean. You love teasing me, knowing I can’t win.”

Jiang Yang patted her supple backside. Though inappropriate in principle, he didn’t know why he did it—it seemed instinctive with Xia Bingbing.

Sure enough, she took it in stride, showing no special reaction, like a gentle kitten obediently releasing his neck and standing coquettishly before him.

He asked again, “Can you tell me how we ended up living together? I really don’t remember.”

Xia Bingbing said, “You don’t remember? When I had just graduated, I saw a job ad online about becoming a star in S City.

But when I arrived, I was scammed out of all my money and almost got trafficked. Luckily, I called you, and you came just in time to save me.

After that, I didn’t dare tell my family or return home. In a big city like S City, I had no one and nowhere to go. You took me in, and that’s how we ended up living together for two months.”

As she spoke, she showed him photos on her phone—taken in Jiang Yang’s apartment. Some even captured them in pajamas, brushing their teeth together.

The stirring memories made Jiang Yang’s head ache again, though the pain was milder, likely thanks to the medicine.

He asked, “During the time we lived together, did anything happen between us?”

Xia Bingbing smiled sweetly, revealing two adorable little fangs. “I slept in your bed the whole time. What do you think happened?” She winked slyly with her big eyes.

Jiang Yang felt uneasy under her gaze. He saw Xia Bingbing more like a little sister. Could he really have done anything to her?

“If something did happen, it was the me before the amnesia, not me now,” he shrugged, passing the responsibility back.

Xia Bingbing stamped her foot. “Senior Brother, you’re so mean. We lived together two months; I showed you everything, and you still say it’s not related to you…”

Jiang Yang quickly changed the subject. “Enough, enough. I want to ask you something. Do you know anything about the day I had the accident?”
