Chapter 6: The Deadbeat Man Cowers
Although I’m reluctant to spend money on expensive things now, having been a rich young lady for more than a decade, I could still recognize at a glance that this untagged dress was priceless. The fabric looked plain but felt incredibly comfortable, and the tailoring was clearly the work of some top foreign designer.
I murmured the brand’s name quietly, staring at the butler in confusion.
“Did you get the wrong one for me?”
“No, Young Master Qi specifically instructed this,” the butler said, glancing at me with some surprise, as if impressed that I could recognize a brand favored only by the elite.
“Alright then, please thank Young Master Qi for me.”
I shrugged and swiftly pulled off the towel to change.
This dress, worth hundreds of thousands, showed just how generous Qi Yuzhou was. If I sold it at a secondhand store, I could easily make seventy or eighty thousand.
After changing, suddenly a shadow appeared before me.
Before I could even see the person’s face clearly, someone grabbed me from behind.
It was Qi Yuzhou.
Before I had the chance to go to the front hall to deliberately sabotage his relationship with Jin Siqi, the man impatiently came to find me first.
With a stern face, he spun me around and gently lifted my chin, forcing me to look up at him.
Qi Yuzhou’s cold eyes lowered. “You look really beautiful in this.”
“Follow me, and you’ll enjoy endless glory and wealth,” his gaze deepened, narrowing slightly.
I shoved him aside like trash, leaning against the sofa, and asked coolly, “Isn’t Young Master Qi supposed to love only Jin Siqi wholeheartedly?”
Thinking of Sasha, my heart suddenly ached.
That despicable man had a wife, yet he used sweet words to trick Sasha into becoming his mistress, then heartlessly abandoned her.
“People like me will bite when pushed too far.”
I knew he was watching me, and under the dim light, I shamelessly exposed my hostility.
He said nothing for a long moment, lost in thought, then suddenly laughed.
“What else can you do besides that?”
“I can ruin you,” I replied.
I looked up, meeting Qi Yuzhou’s furious eyes.
The corners of his eyes were bloodshot, his rage palpable.
Suddenly, he bent down and kissed me. Unlike before, this kiss was full of aggression.
As our lips and teeth clashed, I bit his tongue hard.
With the pain, a metallic taste of blood filled his mouth.
---
Tasting blood, he abruptly pushed me away and stopped.
“Qi Gege!”
It was Jin Siqi!
Her voice came from the far end of the corridor outside the private room of Zeming Teahouse. She seemed to be trying the doors one by one.
Qi Yuzhou’s guard over Jin Siqi was surprisingly strict.
Hiding in a corner out of his sight, I quietly curled my lips into a smile.
Qi Yuzhou obviously heard Jin Siqi’s voice too; his movements instantly froze.
I leaned close to his ear, whispering with disdain.
“What? Your fiancée showed up, and now you’re scared?”
Jin Siqi outside seemed to sense something and knocked more urgently. “Qi Gege, is that you? Are you inside?”
Getting no answer, she started kicking the door recklessly. “Answer me! Qi Gege, what’s wrong? I saw you go in here! What are you doing?”
The faint light made me appear all the more alluring in his eyes.
Qi Yuzhou visibly wanted to devour me immediately.
But Jin Siqi’s voice outside forced him to suppress his desire.
He bit fiercely on my fair neck, making me gasp in pain.
This brief release made his eyes even redder.
He casually grabbed a bedsheet and covered me.
Qi Yuzhou opened the door, blocking Jin Siqi’s searching gaze.
“Siqi, what do you need?”
His low, husky voice, combined with the lingering scent of passion, flushed Jin Siqi’s cheeks.
“What were you doing in the room just now? You didn’t open the door for a long time.”
Qi Yuzhou pulled Jin Siqi into his arms, and the warmth of his body startled her.
From where I hid, I saw Jin Siqi’s eyes flicker as she glanced into the room. “Qi Gege, why are you so hot? Do you have a fever?”
“I had some drinks elsewhere earlier. I was meeting a client here, just came upstairs to rest for a bit.”
Qi Yuzhou held Jin Siqi as they walked to another room down the corridor. “Let’s switch rooms. I don’t want the smell of alcohol here to bother you.”
“Okay,” Jin Siqi obediently agreed.
Hearing his excuse, I cursed silently, “Utterly hypocritical.”
Moreover, it was clear Jin Siqi knew Qi Yuzhou was entangled with another woman inside, yet she didn’t have the courage to catch him in the act.
---
It seemed she truly loved Qi Yuzhou to her bones.
Meanwhile, what I didn’t know—
Once the door closed, Qi Yuzhou held Jin Siqi tightly, his passionate kisses falling like raindrops, drowning out her faint gasps.
“Qi Gege…” Jin Siqi’s pleading call only made him lose control further.
He half-dragged, half-carried her onto the bed, ravaging her lips like a madman.
Jin Siqi tried to push him away but was pinned down tightly.
She struggled, trying to awaken his reason, but her resistance only drove him more insane.
“No…” Jin Siqi shouted.
At last, the cry brought him back to his senses. Looking at her tear-streaked face beneath him, he appeared like a child caught doing wrong, helpless and awkward.
“Siqi, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it. I drank too much today. Please don’t blame me, okay? I really didn’t mean it.”
Jin Siqi hastily fixed her clothes. “Qi Gege, weren’t you supposed to meet a client soon?”
“You came, so who else do I need to see?”
Outside the door, I listened silently, a cold smile curling at my lips, filled with scorn.
All that aloofness and restraint was just an act. Jin Siqi was truly pitiful.
Isn’t it said that the harder something is to reach, the more it makes one’s heart ache?
Qi Yuzhou comforted Jin Siqi, then carried her to shower.
The marks on her body stirred a twinge of guilt in him.
His fingertips gently touched her, causing her body to tremble involuntarily.
Qi Yuzhou suppressed his guilt and the displeasure in his eyes. After showering, he carried Jin Siqi back to bed and soothed her to sleep.
Watching Jin Siqi sleep, Qi Yuzhou’s mind recalled the image of me comforting myself.
He rubbed the calluses on his hand, still warm with my touch. Bringing it to his nose, the scent of my skin filled his breath, igniting his passion.
Sensing the man’s fiery ardor, Jin Siqi shuddered in fright. “Don’t… Qi Gege…”
Qi Yuzhou leaned closer to catch her words.
Suddenly, Jin Siqi woke up and sat upright. “No!”
