Fu Hanzhou’s face darkened.
“No need to waste police resources. Running away from home is her usual tactic. This time, throwing the bag smeared with tomato sauce was just to make me look for her. There’s no need to worry—after a few days of fuss, she’ll come back.”
The detective was stunned.
He didn’t expect the husband to be so indifferent to his wife’s life or death.
Looking at the bloodstains on the bag, the detective insisted that Fu Hanzhou come to the station.
“For safety, you need to come for a DNA test. The blood on the bag is human blood, not tomato sauce.”
Fu Hanzhou was taken aback.
“Fine, I’ll come right away.”
I looked at the battered wounds—the cuts where the kidnappers drained my blood before I died. That feeling of helplessly watching myself being slaughtered like an animal was terrifying even in death.
When Fu Hanzhou went to the hospital, my soul went with him.
The detective took out the bloodstained bag. Su Wanyue, who had followed along, turned pale.
She stared in disbelief. “Hanzhou, this bag really belongs to my sister. She was fine just yesterday. Could this be her prank?”
Fu Hanzhou’s slight guilt vanished as soon as he heard the word “prank.”
He sneered condescendingly, “This isn’t her bag. Tang Xing is obsessed with her bags, a gold digger. This bag is slashed all over—it definitely isn’t hers! You’ve all been fooled by her.”
“Mr. Fu, there’s Tang Xing’s ID inside the bag. Are you sure you’re not mistaken?”
“Impossible!”
Su Wanyue nestled in Fu Hanzhou’s arms and softly said, “Maybe it’s a bag like the one you gave me. If my sister found out, she got angry and threw it away?”
The detective sneered. The games these rich people play.
Can’t let go of the obedient wife at home, but can’t resist the flirt outside.
I smiled bitterly. This bag was the only birthday gift Fu Hanzhou reluctantly gave me after three years of asking. I loved him desperately, so naturally, I cherished the bag he gave me too.
Yet in his eyes, I had become a gold digger.
I thought that as long as I loved him, time would warm his cold heart.
Now I see it was just wishful thinking.
At that moment, the forensic doctor approached with the test report.
“Sorry, Mr. Fu, the DNA test shows that the blood on the bag is not Tang Xing’s.”
Fu Hanzhou had intended to take the ID back.
The detective glanced at Su Wanyue, who was close to him, and asked, “Mr. Fu, is Tang Xing really your wife?”
Fu Hanzhou frowned, his hand frozen as he was about to retrieve the ID.
“Wife? She doesn’t deserve the title!”
Not deserving?

He actually said I didn’t deserve it. It was like a harsh slap across my face—burning pain!
The detective frowned, eyeing Su Wanyue, who seemed off somehow.
“Miss mistress, who were you with last night? Anyone to vouch for you?”
Su Wanyue trembled, hiding behind Fu Hanzhou. “Hanzhou, my head hurts…”
His expression changed instantly. Glancing coldly at the ID, he said, “I was with her last night. You don’t think Wanyue killed her, do you?I'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
