The programmer looked a bit panicked. "Mr. Fu, we checked all night. Madam’s location appeared near the coast once last night, but then it vanished!"

Fu Hanzhou felt his heart settle. A sneer flickered in his eyes. "It’s just her usual tactic. You all can clock out; she’ll be fine."

The programmer hesitated before saying, "Mr. Fu, that shark-infested sea is dangerous. Most people wouldn't go there. A program even reported last year that those waters are man-eaters..."

"Hah, she values her life too much to actually go there. Once she’s done throwing her tantrum, she’ll come back to apologize."

Fu Hanzhou hung up the phone and wearily rubbed his temples.

His stomach was aching. Su Wanyue walked in with a bowl of hangover soup. At the sight of it, Fu Hanzhou instinctively frowned. Only I knew that the dignified Mr. Fu was actually afraid of bitterness. Every time he drank that soup, he needed me to coax him with candy; it was a secret between us. Why a secret? Because he didn’t want to lose his composure in front of Su Wanyue.

Fu Hanzhou drifted off for a moment, as if he were missing me through the steam of the soup.

*Hah.*

I laughed. It must have been an illusion. How could Fu Hanzhou possibly miss me? When I was by his side, his every thought and longing was always for Su Wanyue.

"Brother Hanzhou, I missed you so much. Did you think of me last night?"

As soon as Su Wanyue set down the soup, she clung to him with a boneless, supple grace. Fu Hanzhou felt a surge of irritation, but he drank the soup and retreated to the bridal chamber.

The moment he closed the door, Su Wanyue slipped inside. With a delicate, pitiable face flushed with a rosy hue, she nestled shyly into his arms and looked up at him. "Brother Hanzhou, I want you. Right here, in the room you share with Sister Tang. If it weren't for her, I would be your wife."

Fu Hanzhou’s expression shifted slightly. "You’ve crossed the line."

"Brother Hanzhou, don't you want me? Our wedding night was bound to happen sooner or later; why not take me now?"

As she spoke, she began to peel off her pajamas, revealing skin as white as snow. She coiled around his neck like a snake, inviting him to touch her smooth, supple skin. She even pulled a condom from the bedside table and reached for his trousers.

My soul trembled uncontrollably! Su Wanyue actually wanted to be with Fu Hanzhou in my bridal chamber!

"Su Wanyue, I’ll strangle you!" I roared in fury, reaching out to grab her throat, but my hands passed right through her body.

Fu Hanzhou pushed Su Wanyue away, his face darkening. "Wanyue, enough is enough!"

"Brother Hanzhou, you owe me a wedding night, have you forgotten?" She sat on his lap, her eyes filled with grievance.

Fu Hanzhou frowned. Seeing an opening, Su Wanyue kissed him fiercely. But Fu Hanzhou’s eyes remained icy; there was no heat in them at all. His reaction left Su Wanyue feeling a flicker of defeat.

"Brother Hanzhou, do you not love me anymore?" She pouted, looking as if she were about to cry.

Fu Hanzhou could not bear to be cold to her after all. His expression softened, and he coaxed her in a gentle voice. "It’s getting late. Go back and get some sleep."

Su Wanyue nodded obediently. As the bedroom door closed, her submissive expression instantly shifted into a vicious smile. She snapped the sunflower near the door and tossed it into the trash can, sneering, "Tang Xing, oh Tang Xing, besides me, who else even knows you're dead?"

Her face was distorted. And I heard every word she said clearly!

It was her! It was Su Wanyue! My death had everything to do with her!

I lunged at her like a madwoman, but Su Wanyue turned and headed downstairs. My soul was tethered to Fu Hanzhou, and I could only watch helplessly as she walked into my walk-in closet, brazenly trying on my clothes and adorning herself with my jewelry.

Fu Xiaosi, hugging his doll, rubbed his sleepy eyes. "Auntie Wanyue, why aren't you sleeping with Daddy?"

Su Wanyue feigned grievance. "Your mother ran away from home days ago, and it’s made your father very upset. Your father and I might not be able to get married after all..."

At these words, Fu Xiaosi exploded! "That bad mother! I hate her! She should just die out there!"

Fu Xiaosi said this through gritted teeth. I felt a chill pierce my heart. This was the child I had carried for ten months.

Su Wanyue stayed to put Fu Xiaosi to sleep. Late at night, Fu Hanzhou stared at my frozen chat history, standing on the balcony and lighting cigarette after cigarette until the floor was littered with butts.

At the first light of dawn, Fu Hanzhou received a call from Old Master Fu. A roar came through the phone: "You brat, come back tonight! Your brother is back!"

Fu Hanzhou’s brows tightened. I was stunned. Fu Tingxiao—Fu Hanzhou’s half-brother! The true power behind the Fu Group. Rumored to be cruel, heartless, and the world’s wealthiest man, he was of three-quarters foreign descent. Yet, his movements were so mysterious that no one had ever seen what he looked like. Even Fu Hanzhou held this older brother in great awe, though it was mixed with even greater jealousy. Wherever Fu Tingxiao was, he would always be a mere footnote.

I heard that the reason he didn't return on my wedding day was because he had been in a car accident and crippled a leg. He was twenty-eight and still single. I truly wondered what kind of woman could ever be worthy of him.

"Fine, I understand."

Fu Hanzhou hung up and put on a white suit, looking handsome and dashing. In the past, I would have screamed at the sight, but now, I felt no ripples in my heart.

Fu Hanzhou set off for the old family estate, and my soul involuntarily followed him, never leaving his side. I let out a long sigh, feeling sleepy as I sat in the back seat.

I didn't know how much time had passed before my soul was pulled along by Fu Hanzhou as he walked toward the secluded garden.

"Brother, why didn't you tell me you were back?"

Fu Hanzhou’s cold voice made me shiver. I turned my gaze toward the man leaning on a black-gold, dragon-carved cane. The man before me was as handsome as a deity, his eyes as deep as a starry sea, looking down at Fu Hanzhou with disdain.

His temperament was cold and arrogant, carrying an innate sense of nobility that made one want to surrender involuntarily. I remembered that his mother was the daughter of a foreign duke; after eloping with Fu Yuncheng, she gave birth to him. Later, forced to marry Fu’s mother and have Fu Hanzhou, Fu Tingxiao was only brought back at age fifteen after his own mother died in childbirth. He had spent his youth fighting in illegal underground rings abroad, harboring a deep, violent streak.

Later, he took control of the failing Fu Group, brought it back from the brink of death, and created a commercial empire with assets spanning the globe. His net worth was staggering. Why would such a titan suddenly return to the country?

Just as I was filled with questions, Fu Tingxiao curled his thin lips into a cold smirk. His gaze, sharp as ice, landed on Fu Hanzhou as he spoke in a dark,沉 tone: "Tell you? Hah, do you even have the qualifications to inquire about my whereabouts?"
