Chapter 118: The Boundless Young Master

Young Lord Wuji nodded with satisfaction and said, “Commander Flying Dog has been gone so long; he should have returned by now.”
Yang Guang replied, “He should be on his way back!”
Wuji sighed softly, “It’s hard to say for sure.”
Yang Guang frowned slightly. “Young Lord Wuji, why do you look so troubled?”
Wuji said, “Guanyuan, as one of the three great cities of the Underworld, has stood for ten thousand years. With the established power of the Bureau stationed there, its foundation is naturally formidable.”
“Hahaha,” Yang Guang laughed. “Young Lord Wuji, you worry too much. Guanyuan and the Bureau’s strength have long declined. They’re nothing but paper tigers, utterly unable to withstand our two hundred thousand-strong Heavenly Ghost army. By now, Guanyuan is probably a dead city, and our Heavenly Ghost troops are already on their triumphant return.”
“Is that so?” Wuji couldn’t help but smile. “But I heard there’s a Corpse King in Guanyuan, a master at the pinnacle of the Dao’s extreme realm. Otherwise, why would I have sent the Guardian Xuan You with the troops?”
Yang Guang nodded. “Even if that Corpse King is guarding them, I believe Guardian Xuan You can surely slay him.”
“Let’s hope so,” Wuji sighed softly.
“City Lord, I have failed you!” At that moment, a voice rang out.
Everyone turned to the city gate, where a figure was running anxiously.
It was Flying Dog.
Under the watchful eyes of thousands of ghost soldiers, he sprinted swiftly up to the high platform and knelt with a thud. “City Lord, I have failed you! We suffered a crushing defeat; the entire army was annihilated!” Saying this, Flying Dog was in tears, overwhelmed with guilt.
Yang Guang’s anger flared within, but he forced himself to suppress it. “Speak quickly, what exactly happened?”
Flying Dog wiped his tears. “We were ambushed. We were about to storm the city, but unexpectedly, a ghost commander’s army of three hundred thousand appeared mid-battle. We couldn’t hold against them. Worse, a strange man suddenly burst out from within Guanyuan city and with a single strike slew Guardian Xuan You! Just one strike! That shattered the morale of our troops. After the Guanyuan army sallied forth, our forces completely collapsed.”
“What!” Yang Guang exploded with rage. “That damned Ghost Commander City is too much! Heavenly Ghost City will never forgive them!”
At this, Young Lord Wuji frowned slightly. “Then how did you survive?”
Hearing this, Yang Guang immediately turned his gaze to Flying Dog.
Under their scrutiny, Flying Dog grew nervous.
Yang Guang’s voice grew cold. “Speak! If you don’t give a reasonable explanation, I won’t hesitate to take your life.”
Flying Dog trembled as he replied, “Here’s what happened. I wanted to fight on and kill more enemies, but I was captured. That man told me to deliver a message. That’s why he spared me instead of killing me.”

“Speak quickly! What was the message?” Yang Guang’s eyes turned icy.
Flying Dog hurriedly said, “He said there will be a decisive battle at Ghost Howl Abyss in three days. Those who don’t dare come are…”
He dared not finish the sentence.
Yang Guang frowned deeply. “Speak! What are they called?”
Flying Dog finally said, “Cowards and scoundrels.”
“Damn!” Yang Guang’s fury erupted. His eyes blazed with murderous intent. As the illustrious little Heavenly Ghost King, he had never suffered such humiliation.
Seeing this, Young Lord Wuji said calmly, “Yang City, don’t get worked up. He’s just a petty rat. Kill him and be done with it.”
Yang Guang took a deep breath to steady his rage. “But if that man could easily kill Guardian Xuan You, he must be at least a master at the peak of the Dao’s extreme realm!”
Wuji smiled. “So what if he is? If he dares to obstruct my grand plan, he will meet the same fate.”
Yang Guang exhaled with relief. “Then about the battle at Ghost Howl Abyss in three days, shall we accept the challenge?”
Wuji chuckled. “No need to worry. I will assist you. Besides, I want to meet this man myself.”
He then fixed his gaze on Flying Dog. “By the way, what is this man’s name?”
Flying Dog replied, “I don’t know for sure, but the people of Guanyuan call him ‘Flying King.’”
“Flying King, huh?” Wuji’s face curled into a playful smile.
Meanwhile, far away inside Guanyuan city, a great event was unfolding. Thousands of ghosts cheered joyfully at the news just received. Their master had emerged from seclusion and successfully broken through to the Dao’s extreme realm. How could they not be elated?
Under the Flying King’s leadership, Guanyuan had regained its pride. With their master at the helm, would Guanyuan not soon dominate the entire Underworld?
Inside the Bureau, Jun Yao approached the main seat. All the generals stood to show respect.
At the main seat, Jiang Xiaofei rose immediately to offer his seat to Jun Yao.
Jun Yao nodded slightly in acknowledgment and sat down. “I am now aware of all matters large and small within the Bureau. You have all done well. Please be seated.”
The generals sat, saying, “Master speaks too highly. All thanks to Flying King’s efforts. Without his leadership in repelling enemies, the Bureau wouldn’t be what it is today.”
“Indeed,” Elder Song added, “Flying King is our great hero. Without him, the Bureau would have long fallen.”
Listening to their words, Jun Yao looked at Jiang Xiaofei with a smile. “Thank you, husband, for managing the Bureau so well. Tonight, there will be a reward!”

“What? Flying King is the master’s husband?” Though Jun Yao spoke softly, everyone heard and was shocked. Yet they were sensible and soon understood, then one by one discreetly left.
Su Muhe and Meng Feixue exchanged smiles and also departed.
Only Jiang Xiaofei and Jun Yao remained.
Jiang Xiaofei looked at Jun Yao and smiled. “What kind of reward?”
“Of course, it’s… action!” Jun Yao said shyly, gently patting Jiang Xiaofei’s chest with her delicate hand, charming and endearing.
Jiang Xiaofei embraced her tender figure and said, “Then let’s get to it!”
Jun Yao blushed. “You’re so bad, husband!”
“Then I’ll be even worse,” Jiang Xiaofei declared, sweeping them both into a closed room. Clothes fell away as passion ignited, their love a tempest of desire.
...
At Heavenly Ghost City, on a high mountain, Young Lord Wuji looked at the attendant before him. “Any news?”
The attendant replied, “Reporting to you, Young Lord, the Ghost Domain has agreed to lend their aid. Moreover, the Ghost Emperor has emerged from seclusion and ordered your assassination of the Flying King.”
“So this Flying King really is extraordinary! But without her orders, I was already eager to meet him,” Wuji nodded slightly. “By the way, what of the Underworld realm?”
The attendant answered, “No response from the Underworld realm yet. Judging by the situation, chances are slim.”
“Oh?” Wuji raised an eyebrow. “Is it that old Ghost Daoist again?”
“Indeed,” the attendant nodded. “That Ghost Daoist is like an old bone, stubbornly refusing to comply. He even said that even if it’s Lord Changyuan, he won’t aid you.”
Wuji said coldly, “Forget him for now. If he insists on disobedience, it’s beyond our influence—after all, he was once that person’s master.”
“Right now, we should focus on taking the Underworld. With support from two great realms, we might still suppress Lord Changyuan.”
