Chapter 125: True Phoenix Fire versus Netherworld Core Fire

Jiang Xiaofei frowned deeply, a heavy expression crossing his face. The Black and White Qi was an extraordinarily mystical and profound power. Though he lacked the strength to unleash its full might, it was not something ordinary demonic flames could dispel. This revealed the overwhelming dominance of the Netherworld Earth Core Flame—it was far beyond the reach of common demonic fire and might even rival his own Phoenix True Fire!
At this moment, all factions present were moved by the transformation of Prince Wuji. He seemed like an entirely different person—like a god of fire wielding absolute control over flames. His imposing aura surged like a stormcloud, instilling fear deep in everyone’s hearts.
“Submit?” Prince Wuji’s voice brimmed with arrogance as he enjoyed the reverence directed at him, shrugging smugly. Then his gaze sharpened, locking onto Jiang Xiaofei. “Boy, with the Netherworld Earth Core Flame blessing me, you cannot hope to defeat me. Prepare to die.”
“Oh really?” Jiang Xiaofei met his gaze without a hint of fear, a cold smile playing on his lips. “I’d like to see just how powerful this Netherworld Earth Core Flame is, and how exactly you plan to burn me to death.”
“Daring to be arrogant at death’s door? I’ll show you what it means to be burned!” Prince Wuji’s eyes darkened as he slammed his large palm forward. Instantly, a vast torrent of Netherworld Earth Core Flame swept through the sky, roaring toward Jiang Xiaofei.
Yet, it could not close the distance.
Prince Wuji was taken aback. Upon closer inspection, a golden flame shield surrounded Jiang Xiaofei, blocking the Netherworld Earth Core Flame from reaching him.
This was utterly unfathomable. His Netherworld Earth Core Flame was a divine fire capable of forging celestial weapons, yet it couldn’t break through that golden flame. Could Jiang Xiaofei’s flame be even stronger than his?
A surge of frustration welled up in him, disbelief mingled with anger. He had assumed that with the Netherworld Earth Core Flame, Jiang Xiaofei stood no chance, and that victory was assured. But the flames Jiang Xiaofei displayed far exceeded his expectations.
His gaze darkened. “Even if you possess a divine fire, I will not be defeated.”
“Is that so?” Jiang Xiaofei was equally surprised that the Phoenix True Fire could suppress the Netherworld Earth Core Flame. Confidence surged within him as he waved his hand. The vast Phoenix True Fire erupted, directly countering the Netherworld Earth Core Flame.
“Don’t be so smug. Even if you wield divine fire, I will not lose.”
“Netherworld Blazing Palm!”
Seeing his Netherworld Earth Core Flame being extinguished, Prince Wuji’s eyes darkened. He slammed his palm down again, summoning a colossal fiery hand. Flames swirled around it, releasing terrifying power like a sea of fire, pressing down with overwhelming might upon Jiang Xiaofei.
The fiery palm scorchingly engulfed the surrounding space, a devastating force descending like a cataclysm.
Yet Jiang Xiaofei remained unfazed, his fighting spirit ablaze. Phoenix True Fire flickered in his eyes as he struck out with his palm to meet the attack head-on.

Under the watchful eyes of all, Jiang Xiaofei waved his hand, and an immense wall of Phoenix True Fire surged forth, repelling the Netherworld Fire Palm.
Above his head, a fiery phoenix took shape, crying out to the heavens as if about to take flight, directly clashing with the Netherworld Fire Palm.
Bang!
Suddenly, the sky darkened as the inferno exploded like a whirlwind, sweeping across all directions and dispersing the ghostly aura throughout the Ghost Howl Abyss.
Ghost soldiers and spirits caught in the blaze were instantly reduced to ash.
The spectacle was terrifying, chilling the hearts of the faction leaders who beheld it. Their troops suffered grievous losses, more than half wiped out by the flames.
Yang Guang’s face was especially grim. His army of four hundred thousand ghost soldiers was halved to two hundred thousand in an instant. Anger burned in his heart, but he had no outlet for it. The two above him were beyond his challenge, so he could only swallow his frustration in silence.
Meanwhile, Prince Wuji was heavily impacted by the inferno, his body flung backward. When he regained his footing, he was a sorry sight—wounded and battered. Without the protection of the Netherworld Earth Core Flame, he might have been reduced to ashes. Even so, he coughed up a mouthful of black blood, clearly on the brink of collapse.
Jiang Xiaofei stood unscathed amid the flames, like a god of fire. Behind him, fiery wings resembling those of a phoenix spread wide.
Prince Wuji’s shock was evident. “How could you be unharmed? Impossible! I will not be defeated!”
“Hahaha! You have already lost, and your fate lies in my hands,” Jiang Xiaofei sneered with supreme confidence.
Now empowered by the little phoenix and clad in Phoenix True Fire—an almost divine force—he felt as if he and the little phoenix were one. How could Prince Wuji possibly stand against him?
Fright flickered across Prince Wuji’s face at Jiang Xiaofei’s words, yet his pride would not admit defeat.
He was the second prince of the Netherworld—a noble destined to soar above all. Yet today, he was defeated by a mere human. The blow was devastating, humiliating, and his pride was shattered.
But in the end, he was defeated.

His gaze darkened. “What exactly do you want?”
“To kill you,” Jiang Xiaofei said coldly.
“No!” Prince Wuji’s expression twisted in alarm. “You cannot kill me! I am the second prince of the Netherworld. If you dare kill me, the Netherworld will unleash its fury upon you. You will meet a dreadful end.”
“So he is the son of the King of the Netherworld. No wonder he dares to act so arrogantly, meddling in our Underworld affairs.” As Prince Wuji’s words fell, the factions stirred. They now understood his origins but wondered why the Netherworld interfered in the Underworld—was the prince merely indulging in reckless mischief?
Jiang Xiaofei’s brow furrowed upon hearing this. Killing was no longer so simple.
If he were a petty figure, eliminating him would be straightforward. But the son of the King of the Netherworld was another matter entirely. Killing him might bring a storm of retribution. Yet sparing him meant releasing a tiger to roam free. If Prince Wuji returned stronger, the entire Underworld could plunge into chaos. Even if Jiang Xiaofei escaped, what would become of Ghost Abyss and the Department of Spirits?
Seeing Jiang Xiaofei hesitate to strike, Prince Wuji’s confidence swelled. “Release me at once! If you surrender and serve me, I will spare you and even grant you the throne of the Underworld. Otherwise, when my Netherworld army besieges this city, your Ghost Abyss and Department of Spirits will be utterly destroyed.”
“What did you say?” Jiang Xiaofei’s brow tightened, his eyes sharpening with deadly intent.
Prince Wuji shuddered at Jiang Xiaofei’s gaze, stepping back with a tremor. His eyes, like those of the grim reaper, instilled fear. Summoning his courage, he growled, “Submit to me, or face death!”
“Still defiant at death’s door? Then I’ll escort you to your end,” Jiang Xiaofei said coldly, rushing toward Prince Wuji. Though he did not seek conflict, this arrogance crossed his bottom line—he could no longer tolerate it.
Prince Wuji became fearful, dodging desperately, trying to escape.
But the Phoenix Domain descended, trapping him with no way out.
