Volume One, Chapter 12: Knocked Down with a Single Slap!
Susan quickly learned about Jian Su being taken care of.
She coldly stared at Yun Ye. “How dare you provoke that lunatic?”
“Don’t you know that with Qiang Su’s family’s indulgence, Jian Su is basically the crown prince of Su Corporation?”
Yun Ye replied calmly, “So what? The one who ended up in the hospital seems to be this crown prince, not me.”
Susan felt a headache coming on. “Yun Ye, I didn’t expect you to cause such a big mess right after arriving.”
“Though Jian Su is a pushover, he is still the son of the CEO.”
“Besides, that bastard is favored by the old matriarch.”
“If you injure him like this, Qiang Su definitely won’t let you off.”
Yun Ye appeared unconcerned. “Don’t worry, I didn’t lay a finger on your crown prince.”
“Whether he lives or dies is the fault of the vicious dogs he keeps.”
“If his father wants revenge, he can go find those two dogs.”
Susan was left speechless.
She knew Yun Ye was playing tricks, but his words were true.
It was those two vicious dogs who crippled Jian Su, not Yun Ye.
Still, Yun Ye’s ever-calm demeanor made Susan grit her teeth.
That bastard seemed fearless wherever he went!
“A mere clown, playing mind games with the CEO’s family. I can only say, CEO, this kid isn’t far from death!”
A scornful voice rang out nearby.
It belonged to a burly man, arms crossed, muscles bulging.
Susan introduced him, “This is my personal bodyguard, Master Lei Cheng from the Extreme Martial Arts Academy.”
“Let’s go to the East City docks to retrieve Su Corporation’s goods.”
Cheng Lei snorted arrogantly, pointing at Yun Ye. “CEO, I’ll personally escort you.”
“For this weakling, my advice is not to bring him along—he’ll only embarrass you.”
Susan frowned. “Yun Ye’s skills aren’t bad.”
“Master Cheng, we’ll mainly rely on you to intimidate the East City folks. Yun Ye can be your assistant.”
Cheng Lei smiled. “Alright, taking this kid out will be interesting.”
“CEO, didn’t you want to train him? It’s a good way to test if he’s a mule or a horse.”
They all got into the car and headed for the East City docks.
Susan sat alone in the back, feigning sleep.
Master Cheng was driving.
Susan’s secretary, Yujie Zhao, whispered to Yun Ye, “You don’t know, but Master Cheng is very powerful.”
“He’s from the most prestigious Extreme Martial Arts Academy in Jiangnan City.”
“The CEO pays him eight million a year.”
Yun Ye scoffed. “Eight million for such a common thug?”
Yujie quickly waved him down, signaling to keep quiet. “Master Cheng isn’t a common thug. Don’t offend him.”
“Most people can’t even afford him.”
“The CEO often relies on Master Cheng to protect her during unsafe business events.”
Yun Ye sneered. “From now on, I’ll protect the CEO.”
“This weakling is all show, no substance. Even eight hundred would be too much to pay him.”
Yujie smirked. “You talk big. Are you stronger than Master Cheng?”
Yun Ye tapped his chest. “You could say that.”
“I could take down a hundred like him!”
Yujie made a face. “What a braggart!”
“But you’re not without skill.”
“I thought you were doomed when Young Master Jian Su took you away.”
Susan suddenly opened her eyes from the back seat.
She glanced at them. “It’s work time, not time for you two to slack off.”
With that, she got out after the car stopped.
Cheng Lei was confident. “CEO, East City folks are notorious in Jiangnan, but they still respect my reputation.”
Susan nodded. “Once we get the goods back, Master Cheng, I owe you one.”
Cheng Lei’s eyes gleamed as he rubbed his hands. “It’s my honor to protect such a beauty as you, CEO.”
“Just invite me to dinner afterward.”
Susan’s expression was indifferent. “We’ll see. Let’s focus on business.”
At the docks, East City’s people were already waiting.
The secretary turned pale. “CEO, they have quite a few men—at least twenty.”
Susan said coldly, “What’s there to fear? Do you think they’ll eat us?”
Cheng Lei boasted, “Just a bunch of lackeys—nothing to me.”
“Don’t worry, Secretary Zhao, I’ll protect you.”
Suddenly, a leader from East City, Bao Wang, swaggered over with a group of dark-clad thugs.
He leered at Susan. “CEO Su, such a beauty doesn’t usually show up at places like these.”
“Ha! Are you here to visit your brothers?”
Susan’s face was icy. “I’m here to take our Su Corporation’s shipment.”
Bao Wang chuckled lecherously. “Sure, you can take the goods.”
“But only if you hand over three things.”
Susan sneered. “What do you want?”
Bao Wang licked his lips and said crudely, “First, your bra.”
“Second, your panties. Haha, and third... well, something more of yours.”
Cheng Lei roared, “Get lost, you fish bait! How dare you disrespect CEO Su?”
“You’re just begging for a beating.”
Bao Wang snorted, “You’re Master Cheng from the Extreme Martial Arts Academy, right? I advise you to stay out of this mess.”
Cheng Lei puffed out his chest, trying to intimidate them. “You trash know who I am. I’ll give you one chance.”
“Hand over the Su goods and get lost as far as you can.”
The secretary admired him. “Master Cheng’s presence is really impressive.”
Susan even smiled faintly. “Looks like East City folks still fear Master Cheng.”
If so, getting the goods back would be easy.
Yun Ye shook his head. “You’re celebrating too soon. That big guy’s doomed!”
The secretary frowned. “How can you say that?”
“Didn’t you see Master Cheng roar and silence them?”
Susan said coldly, “Yun Ye, Cheng isn’t incompetent.”
“You should learn from his approach instead of always being so narrow-minded.”
Before she finished, Bao Wang snarled and led his men in an attack.
They swarmed from all sides, targeting Cheng Lei.
Cheng Lei roared and unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, sweeping out with his cape leg.
Whoosh! Many of Bao Wang’s men were sent flying.
“A bunch of trash snacks, dare to fight me?”
Cheng Lei fought while putting on a show. “CEO, just stay calm and give me a minute.”
Suddenly, a sharp pain struck his back of the head—Bao Wang smacked him hard.
Cheng Lei clutched his head, screaming in pain.
Bao Wang’s face was vicious. “I gave you respect by calling you master.”
“Without respect, you’re just a dumb giant—full of fat and useless.”
He and his men pummeled Cheng Lei.
At first, Cheng Lei could barely fight back.
But after another heavy blow to his chest, he collapsed, powerless.
Bang!
Bao Wang stomped on Cheng Lei’s head viciously.
Cheng Lei spat a mouthful of blood, screaming in terror.
“CEO Su, help me! Save me!”
“I don’t want to die!”
His pitiful state stunned Susan.
Is this the elite bodyguard she paid eight million for?
How could he be so easily defeated?
The secretary paled. “Master Cheng can’t take a hit. He’s nothing like he bragged.”
Bao Wang stared at Susan. “CEO, looks like you have no backup now.”
“Our East City folks don’t follow rules.”
“You came into the tiger’s den, so sorry—we’ll tear you apart.”
He laughed lecherously and knocked Cheng Lei unconscious with a club.
Playing with his baseball bat, he stepped toward Susan.
Susan forced calm on her face.
Inside, she was terrified.
She had underestimated this trip.
These East City thugs were true desperate men, unafraid to spill blood.
She was no match and could be in grave danger.
“Yun Ye!”
In panic, Susan called out.
Suddenly, a heavy figure blocked the way.
“I told you this so-called master isn’t reliable, but you didn’t listen,” Yun Ye said helplessly.
Bao Wang reached Yun Ye. “If you don’t want to die, get lost.”
Smack!
Yun Ye slapped him hard across the face.
Bao Wang’s head snapped to the side; he instantly lost consciousness and collapsed without a sound.
The East City thugs were stunned.
Susan and her secretary couldn’t believe their eyes.
