Jiang Yu switched off his phone, thoroughly annoyed. Should he continue or not?

After being interrupted twice, the mood and atmosphere were completely gone.

Forget it. He had to say it today!

“Mu Yu, I…”

The next second, just as he was about to open his mouth, a slender, fair finger pressed against his lips. Jiang Yu’s eyes widened.

“You’ve said it twice. Now it’s my turn.” Su Mu Yu smiled serenely as her other hand took hold of his.

A faint blush once again spread across her face.

“Jiang Yu, will you be my boyfriend? I like you—very, very much! Let’s be together.”

“!!!!!!!”

Su Mu Yu’s gentle voice flowed into Jiang Yu’s ears like a babbling brook.

Yet that little stream stirred a tsunami within his heart.

She confessed? Su Mu Yu had confessed her feelings to him?

Jiang Yu was dazed, his face filled with disbelief.

Seeing his vacant expression, Su Mu Yu let out a soft laugh. “You really are an idiot.”

“Ow, that hurts!”

Jiang Yu pinched his own thigh hard. Feeling the pain, he murmured, “I’m not dreaming.”

“Then why haven’t you answered me yet?”

“Yes!”

“You agreed that quickly?”

“You tempted me. I was swayed by your beauty.”

Hearing the certainty in Jiang Yu’s otherwise dazed voice, Su Mu Yu smiled sweetly and buried herself in his arms. “I’m the same as you. I was bewitched by your looks.”

Jiang Yu instinctively tightened his arms around her.

Feeling the fragrant softness in his embrace, Jiang Yu slowly came to his senses. Immense joy surged through his heart. He gently drew back a little and gazed into her tender, affectionate eyes.

“You’re mine now.”

At those words, Su Mu Yu pressed her lips together in a smile and hugged him once more.

Jiang Yu tightened his arms around her again.

At last, the barrier between them had been broken.

Nestled in his arms, Su Mu Yu poked his broad chest. “We’ve known each other since high school, haven’t we? When did you start liking me?”

“I don’t know. Maybe I already liked you back in high school?”

“Then why didn’t you come after me? Why did you pursue Zhao Yi Yi?”

Jiang Yu smiled faintly. “Back then, you were the school beauty. You were so perfect that no boy would dare pursue you. And I was just a poor kid.”

“So it was love at first sight?”

“Since I was attracted to your looks at first sight, of course it was love at first sight. What about you? When did you start liking me?”

“I began to have feelings for you when you helped me in high school. During this time, your talent kept revealing itself, and my fondness for you gradually grew until I fell hopelessly in love.”

…

The two remained locked in each other’s arms, talking about everything from the days of high school onward.

No one knew how much time had passed before the air between them grew increasingly charged with desire.

Feeling the warmth of the soft body in his arms, Jiang Yu began to grow restless. His breathing also became slightly quicker.

Now that they were boyfriend and girlfriend, doing something simple should… probably be all right, shouldn’t it?

His palm slowly moved downward and came to rest on her supple waist.

Su Mu Yu felt the warmth of his hand as well. She lifted her head to look at him, her gaze gradually turning hazy. Her cheeks were flushed, her delicate skin smooth and tender, and her lips, coated in gloss, parted slightly with a moist sheen.

Every part of her radiated a fatal temptation to Jiang Yu.

His heart pounded as his handsome face slowly drew closer.

Su Mu Yu noticed what he was doing and closed her eyes instinctively.

“Smack.”

At that moment, the soft sensation of their lips meeting filled his entire heart.

Su Mu Yu’s body went completely limp.

Yet just as she thought things were about to go somewhere beyond her control, the sensation on her lips suddenly vanished, leaving only a thin, lingering thread between them.

She opened her eyes, feeling both relieved and disappointed. She had never expected Jiang Yu to be able to restrain himself.

Seeing the puzzled look in her eyes, Jiang Yu smiled and brushed away the loose strands of hair over her forehead.

“Do you really think I’m an animal that thinks only with its lower half?”

Then he leaned close to her ear and whispered, “Once I’ve won your family’s approval, you won’t be able to escape me.”

Su Mu Yu blushed and rolled her eyes at him. When she saw Jiang Yu rise to his feet, she asked, “You’re not staying here tonight?”

Jiang Yu smiled and shook his head. “I’ll sleep across the hall. I’ll take a shower while I’m at it and calm myself down.”

He lightly brushed the bridge of her pert nose. “And don’t you dare sneak over in the middle of the night, or else…”

With that, his handsome face drew close once again.

Su Mu Yu’s pretty face flushed crimson, and this time she shyly turned away.

Jiang Yu smiled and left the room.

…

The next day.

Jiang Yu was still asleep when he heard the front door pounding loudly.

With his hair sticking up like a bird’s nest and dressed in pajamas, he walked to the entrance.

“I’m coming, I’m coming. It’s only been one night, and you already missed me, little girl?”

But when he opened the door, he saw an equally exquisite face bearing an unmistakable look of anger.

Su Mu Yu stood behind her, looking like a child who had done something wrong.

The moment he saw that face, Jiang Yu’s legs went weak, and he nearly collapsed.

“Li… Little Aunt, what brings you here?”

“What brings me here? You actually have the nerve to ask? The two of you have grown so capable that you even turned off your phones!”

Su Ling was so exasperated that she laughed.

“You’ve dealt with so many things over the past two days. Shouldn’t I, your manager, come and help you sort them out?”

Jiang Yu scratched his head awkwardly. “Please, sit down. I’ll get you a glass of water.”

With that, he hurried into the kitchen to boil some water. But he turned too quickly and slammed straight into the door before rushing off again.

Seeing his clumsy behavior, Su Ling could not help laughing.

Su Mu Yu also burst out laughing beside her.

Hearing her niece’s laughter, Su Ling rolled her eyes. “You have the nerve to laugh?”

The two women entered the room and sat down on the sofa.

After a moment of silence, Su Ling could not contain her curiosity. She leaned toward them and asked excitedly, “Are you two together now?”

Su Mu Yu’s pretty face reddened. She nodded and gave a soft hum.

“You really are together!” Su Ling’s eyes lit up. “Then why did you sleep in separate rooms last night?”

“Little Aunt!” Su Mu Yu cried out in embarrassment and annoyance. “We’ve only just started dating. You’re so annoying.”

“What am I being annoying about? This boy is the one who doesn’t understand!”

“Ms. Su!”

“All right, all right, I know!” Su Ling looked at him with disdain. “You’re both adults. What’s there to be embarrassed about? You weren’t nearly so restrained before you started dating…”

Su Mu Yu once again widened her eyes and stared directly at Su Ling.

“All right, I won’t say anything more.” Su Ling laughed.

Just then, Jiang Yu came out carrying a glass of water. “Little Aunt, have some water.”

“I’ll pass on the water.” Su Ling took out her laptop. “You’re attracting a great deal of attention online right now. I need to discuss what we’re going to do next.”

As she spoke, she opened the computer and brought up a webpage.

Jiang Yu leaned over to look.

Good heavens. The top entries on the current social-media trending list were almost all topics related to him.
