Tang Li gave him a cold smile.
“What’s there to be afraid of? Do you think I’m going to eat you? You’re supposed to be a master with great magical skills; why are you so soft?”
“Damn it! Soft? Haven’t you seen how hard I can be? I was even pressing against your chin. Almost ended up in your mouth...”
Fu Yang raged silently in his heart.
Of course, he dared not say such words out loud.
Tang Li seemed to realize she had misspoken; a faint blush crept across her pale face. She then cleared her throat and spoke seriously.
“Starting today, you officially become an intern at Tangren Cultural Media Company! Your position is Junior Copywriter. Here is your contract; take a look.”
She handed Fu Yang a thick contract.
“Internship contracts are this complicated? Looks like President Tang’s company is really professional.”
Fu Yang took it and was startled by the monthly salary figure of eight thousand yuan.
No matter how impressive a company is, would they really pay an intern such a high wage?!
But since they were willing to pay, he certainly wouldn’t be foolish enough to complain. He promptly signed his name and ID information.
“Alright, you can now go to the IT department to get a computer set up, and familiarize yourself with some materials.”
“And my supervisor?”
“Report directly to me. I’ll assign you relevant tasks.”
“Oh, understood, President Tang.”
Though curious why an intern would report directly to the CEO, Fu Yang didn’t bother questioning it and got up to leave.
Tang Li watched his retreating figure with a cold, indifferent gaze that suddenly softened.
Unconsciously, a beautiful smile curved at the corner of her mouth...
Once outside the office, Fu Yang immediately spotted Master Xiong lounging like a lord in the arms of a group of lively young girls.
A thick gold chain hung around his neck, and he wore sunglasses, allowing the adoring girls to dress him up and stroke him.
Seeing Fu Yang look over, the guy slyly shot him a lascivious glance.
Fu Yang rolled his eyes, uninterested, and headed straight to IT to find the network administrator to set up his computer and email.
As he walked through the office area, numerous male colleagues stared at him with murderous looks, utterly unrestrained.
Perhaps in their eyes, this rather handsome young man was just lucky, fooling their aloof goddess with smooth talk...
“Damn! What’re you looking at? Believe it or not, I’ll gouge your eyes out!”
Fu Yang thought bitterly.

Though Fu Yang seemed meek before Tang Li, that was because he felt he had teased her, and she had saved his life—if she hadn’t arrived in time driving a Land Rover that day, he would have been dealt with by Tuka Chai!
“You’d better not use those stuffy workplace rules to suppress me just because I’m young and still in college. Otherwise, hehe...”
Fu Yang sneered inwardly.
He knocked on the IT office door.
“Hello, is the network administrator here?”
“Who’s calling me?”
A tall, thin man named Zheng Zhuan stood up from his computer and looked toward the door.
He then paused, squinting at Fu Yang with displeasure.
“Oh? It’s you. President Tang actually hired you.”
“Here you come! I just want to behave on my first day, but someone’s got to pick a fight.”
Fu Yang sneered and felt his temper rising.
He didn’t even realize it himself.
By now, it was hard for him to see things from a truly ordinary person’s perspective.
After all, he was a Taoist who had reached the level of granting talismans!
Some social elites might still put on airs before him, but these low-level company employees? Heh...
Still, he remained polite on the surface.
“Hi, I’m Fu Yang, the new intern. President Tang asked me to get help from the network administrator for setting up a computer and phone.”
“Busy, no time. Wait on the side! Kid, you’re barely out of diapers, damn...”
Fu Yang’s face turned green!
He knew his connection with President Tang would make some people resentful or jealous, but he hadn’t expected it to be so blatant and direct!
Other IT staff quickly pulled Zheng aside, urging him to watch his words in the company.
Fu Yang was so angry he could only laugh bitterly.
“Fine, very well! Don’t blame me then.”
He subtly made a sign in the air with his middle and index fingers—
the Madness Talisman!
It causes five minutes of insanity, making the victim act wildly and crazily.
This prank-like talisman was a Taoist invention for amusing themselves by tormenting powerless ordinary people. Drawing it in the air or on talisman paper made no difference since ordinary people had no defense...
A transparent ripple appeared in the void, and the Madness Talisman shot out, hitting the unfriendly network administrator.

“I’m so hot! I feel like I’m on fire! I’m burning up!”
The network administrator suddenly shouted and started pulling down his pants...
“Damn it, Old Zheng, what’s wrong? Are you crazy?”
Colleagues nearby showed shocked expressions.
But he kept singing to himself, then stripped off his pants. Finally, he pulled down his underwear and placed it on his head!
“Here comes Underwear-Headed Superman!!!”
The administrator shouted and ran naked from the IT office, circling around the entire company...
Silence! The whole IT office was dead silent.
Everyone stared at Fu Yang as if he were a monster.
He shrugged arrogantly, “Can’t blame me; he went crazy on his own. By the way, there can’t be only one network administrator here, right? Who else can help?”
“I can!”
“I’ll do it, dude. I’m fast and good at it...”
Suddenly, everyone in the IT office, as if eager to please Tang Li, scrambled eagerly to help Fu Yang set up his computer.
Zheng Zhuan became the company’s celebrity. After all, the guy who ran around naked, singing with underwear on his head, was definitely a legend!
After setting up the computer and phone, Fu Yang used the intranet to review some company documents and business information, diligently studying.
Beep beep beep.
The work chat software popped up in the lower right corner of his screen.
Tang Li’s avatar appeared.
“Get ready. Tonight, you’ll accompany me to an important banquet.”
“Huh? President Tang, that’s not appropriate...”
Fu Yang quickly refused. An important banquet probably meant a gathering of business magnates, and he wasn’t comfortable in such environments.
“There’s nothing inappropriate. Xiao Hua died; I currently have no assistant. You’ll serve as one temporarily. Just come with me tonight. Go buy a few decent outfits now. Meet me in the parking garage downstairs in five minutes!”
Tang Li’s tone brooked no argument.
Fu Yang could only smile bitterly and agree.
“This is getting complicated. Now I have to accompany President Tang to a banquet? Is my image in the company going to be completely reduced to a pretty face?”
