Chapter 98: A Sudden Argument
Meanwhile, in Tang Li’s luxurious villa, Fu Yang was sound asleep.
He had many dreams that night…
Of course, as you might have guessed, they were all lustful dreams.
In the dream, Qin Mei, Zhao Shanshan, and Tang Li took turns coming to be with him intimately.
But in the end, their faces all transformed into Dong Weike’s…
And after their encounters, Dong Weike seemed furious, accusing Fu Yang of cheating, questioning why he was attracted to other women, and so forth.
Then, as usual, she roughly suspended him and beat him mercilessly—a record-breaking case of domestic violence. Fu Yang could only plead for mercy nonstop…
“No, Your Majesty! I won’t dare again!”
Fu Yang shouted, suddenly sitting up.
Only then did he realize it had all been a lustful dream.
He exhaled deeply, wiped the sweat from his forehead, feeling somewhat speechless.
“What kind of weird dream was that? Dong Weike is just a ghost who’s taken over my house; I can’t provoke her or escape. She’s not even my real wife, so why would I have such a strange dream?”
Could it be that because Ah Huang kept calling her my wife, I subconsciously absorbed the idea?
Fu Yang shivered.
He admitted he did have a very special, unique kind of feeling toward Dong Weike—different from anyone else, even different from Zhao Shanshan or Qin Mei.
But at his age, a clueless boy who’d never been in love, he couldn’t make sense of it.
No matter what, Fu Yang wasn’t mentally prepared to be in a relationship with a female ghost.
In fact, while he did have some flirtatious relationships with several girls, it was all innocent and proper.
He hadn’t confirmed a relationship with anyone and was still a single dog barking loudly!
The large wall clock in Fu Yang’s living room showed it was already 10 a.m. the next day.
“Huh? Why do I still have a quilt on me?”
Fu Yang quickly turned over and found he was covered by a blanket.
He figured it must have been Tang Li who put it there. It was just the two of them in the house.
Then he noticed a note on the nearby coffee table, written in fresh, delicate handwriting—quite at odds with Tang Li’s bold appearance.
It read: “I’ve gone to work first. You can head home by yourself later. Don’t forget to bring the necessary documents next week and report to the company on time for onboarding!”
At the bottom, there was even a private phone number…
“Oh yeah! I didn’t lose the job, that’s great!”
Fu Yang jumped up excitedly and stretched. His mood, troubled by the strange dream, lifted again.
He planned to grab something to eat from the fridge and then head home.
He instinctively pulled out his phone from his pocket and looked.
He nearly dropped it in shock.
Good heavens!
There were twenty-seven missed calls!
All from Ah Huang.
What kind of relentless persistence was this?
“Damn… I had my phone on silent all night and forgot to check.”
Fu Yang sighed and called back. After two rings, the call connected.
“Hey? Ah Huang, what the hell is with your nonstop calls? Bro was busy last night with a beautiful woman… who has time to answer your calls!”
There was no response; a silence hung over the line.
Huh? What’s going on? Fu Yang found it strange.
After a while, a faint voice came through the receiver.
“Fu Yang… repeat what you just said? You were with a beautiful woman last night?!”
It was Dong Weike’s voice!
Fu Yang’s head buzzed, utterly stunned.
He couldn’t understand how Ah Huang’s phone ended up in Dong Weike’s hands.
While he was dazed, Ah Huang seemed to have grabbed the phone and, voice trembling with tears, pleaded, “Bro, you’ve doomed me… Come back to where you live. The Queen is furious, and the consequences are severe. Ah, ah… please don’t take it out on me…”
Beep beep beep…
With Ah Huang’s shrill screams echoing over the line, the call was cut off.
“Damn! Looks like this is turning into a big problem.”
Fu Yang felt the situation was bad and didn’t dare linger.
He quickly locked the door and ran out to the street, hailed a taxi, and headed back.
“Driver, please go faster.”
“How fast?”
“Ever seen an F1 race? Schumacher-level speed. If I’m late, someone might die.”
“Kid, even if I’m an experienced driver, you can’t ask for that. Someone’s about to die any second now…”
The seasoned driver was truly impressive.
What should have been a half-hour trip was done in fifteen minutes.
Fu Yang dashed back to his place like a mad dog being chased, hesitating at the door.
The exaggerated screams inside were indeed frightening…
Bang.
The door opened, revealing a swollen, pig-like face!
Fu Yang was shocked.
“Damn, you got beaten this badly? She hit you that hard?”
As soon as Ah Huang saw Fu Yang return, he lunged forward with a howl.
He grabbed Fu Yang’s collar tightly, eyes gleaming with excitement, yelling in a pig-like voice, “I caught him! Your Majesty, I caught Fu Yang! I seek redemption, I seek redemption!”
Then the guy dragged him inside…
Fu Yang saw Dong Weike floating in midair, her face full of murderous intent.
She snarled through gritted teeth, “Fu Yang… good, very good! Just one day without watching over you, and you’re already in bed with another woman! With your pathetic loser looks, who the hell would want you? Did you use some evil spell to charm her?”
Though Fu Yang initially felt guilty, hearing Dong Weike’s furious insults triggered his manly pride.
His anger surged uncontrollably.
He looked up at Dong Weike, voice cold, “Yes, I’m a pathetic loser, poor and powerless. How could I compare to you, the ghost king who commands the supernatural world? But what right do you have to judge me? Why you?”
Dong Weike was stunned, clearly not expecting the usually obedient Fu Yang to act this way.
Even angrier, she flew down and grabbed his collar tightly.
“What do you mean? What exactly do you mean? Not coming home at night and messing around with other women—you think that’s justified?”
Fu Yang just stared coldly at her.
“Enough! Stop making a fuss. Whether I come home or not, or who I mess around with, it’s none of your damn business. What are you to me? Tell me!”
Dong Weike was taken aback, unable to answer immediately.
Her expression shifted from rage to confusion.
Young people are naive. When emotions run high, they say things they don’t mean.
Fu Yang pressed on, “Dong Weike, do you have feelings for me? I’m telling you, no way! I’m a living man, and you’re a dead ghost. What crazy notions do you have about me? This is my house—get out of here!”
His words stunned not only Dong Weike but also the pig-faced Ah Huang beside her.
